Another Tuesday! although I won't be reporting hopefully with good news until Thursday night.
Right, also thought that starting a new thread every week for just us 3 was mad so thought we'd just have our own on going thread that makes it easier to look back on - is that OK with everyone?
Furball, thank you, that's a good idea, I think we can manage to keep it in some kind of order with just us three. Well, I don't know why I think that, I can't keep anything in order, but you and Smalline keep it tidy and I'll just wander along behind spreading chaos and anarchy as I go.
Oh, yes, weight, nothing to report, I'm afraid. I seem to have stuck at 9 st 6lb for months now. But then it was 10 stone 1 for several years, and I'm much happier now that my clothes fit. I'd still like to get rid of half a stone, but I have to do it really slowly so it doesn't all come off my face first so that I look like a fat skeleton (if you can imagine what I mean).
will be tricky week but hopefully can work round it. going to london for whole day tomorrow so wll need 2 x packed meals and also am off out for a mexican on monday so have decided to have veggie chilli
Goodness, FurballI am completely green at the idea of losing 8lb in 3 weeks, that's magnificent. And yes, I know 9 st 6lb doesn't sound too bad, but I was about 8 st 6lb for twenty years and really don't enjoy being this much heavier. Well done with all the running, it really is impressive, because you're keeping going at it! Apart from exercising a bit every night and morning I'm a bit slothlike at the moment, just failing to keep the peace between DDs on their spring holiday and retreating to romantic novels in desperation.
We had a fab day thanks heavybee a coach was organised by one of ds' teachers (we are half term ATM) so ds and I went and had a great day. we did the London eye which was really good, and not as packed as I thought it mght be.
Smalline where are youoooooo? Yoohoo! I hope you're on holiday somewhere lovely and warm with delicious but strangely unfattening meals being put in front of you, your family all happy, and a pile of novels and a handy swimming pool at your disposal....
yes bit of sun wouldn't go amiss, although ATM I don't mind that much as I can stay in my comfy jeans before I unleash the new me in an all new size 12 summer wardrobe!
OK, I hate to do this, but several weeks off have taken their toll. I am a pound heavier. This is certainly because the computer DDs can use is in the kitchen, and we spent a fair amount of time there. So while they Club Penguined I made apple pie and raspberry crumble, and then I ate them. Simple and sad, hmm? But I'm back at work now and lunch is mostly salad, so with any luck the pound should be gone again next week. Good luck everyone, and stay out of the kitchen.
oh Heavybee - you sound really down. Look on the bright side, it's only 1lb no more. It's at the controlable stage, where with just a slight change it will banished forever by next week.
I went out for a curry last night and didn't do too badly, luckily I was driving so only had soda water. In fact lucky I hardly drink at all as I think thats where alot of Slimming World syns seem to end up being used. I'd rather save mine for chocolate
Wow, Furball, that's as much as I've lost in the several years I've been trying, and a bit more! That's wonderful. Congratulations, you must be feeling very pleased with yourself. Now, the big thing is to keep it off and not slide a bit, how can we help you do that?
Great news Furball, I'm sure that you will reach your target of a stone in 6 weeks the way you're going.
Lovely thoughts coming from you Heavybee I wish I was on holiday, but the family are happy (at least for the moment anyway) so I'm happy, what more could I ask for.
Well maybe a little weight loss, I've neither lost or gained since I last posted, but I'm not complaining. Haven't been able to do much exercise recently, can't seem to fit it into my busy schedule at the moment.
Well done, Smalline, that's good news! Much better than me - I am no heavier this week, but I didn't manage to shift last week's extra pound which I had hoped to do. It's nice when people start to notice, isn't it?
I have discovered that one of the problems is that I spend more time in the kitchen these days because the computer DDs can use is there, and I like to lurk in a mildly supervisory way. So I eat because I'm there. Hmm.
Good luck for the rest of the week, you and Furball!
lost 1/2 lb [glum] - have stuck to it like glue but haven't run for about 10 days due to gribbly cough - am have been on steroids for 2 days, so I can only blame that concoction.
Set target for next week of 3 lbs as sooooo want to get to a stone in the 6 weeks so far. and am heading out running again at 8.30am.
Don't be sad, Furball. With all that against you you still managed to lose weight, you should be proud of yourself! I'm proud of you, anyway. Good luck with your target, but don't fret if it takes 8 weeks instead of 6. You'll get there. Hope the cough goes away and enjoy the run!
It is very embarrassing but I have put on another pound. I really do want to fit my clothes again properly and all of the ones which fitted a couple of months ago are feeling a bit tight now. I obviously don't have the right frame of mind. Better luck to everyone else and I will really work a bit harder at Just Saying No.
HB don't be embarassed - it's easy done. Hopefully sunshine will make us all feel better. I've even got my flip flops on today, so it must be summer.
I finally got back to running this morning and am planning on going tomorrow and thursday just to give the SW scales a kick up the jacksey. Am now off the steroids, so we'll see. Have done no damage diet wise AFAIK - I even refused a pudding at the MN meet up on Friday, I was the only one out of 10 and just ordered a pot of tea [halo] To be honest I did go with the intention of having a pudding but couldn't see one on the menu that was really worth the consequences.
Thank you "Furball", I feel comforted. I must say I feel inclined to garden instead of sit in the kitchen when I get home, sunshine is a big help! I'm glad you're back to running, it must make you feel better immediately. And well done for avoiding pudding! I did it by default today as there was nothing except fresh fruit at lunch, so I had that, but I was just longing for rhubarb crumble....
Furball this is great news, you're really sticking with it this time! It's so exciting being so close to losing a stone. And it must even be pleasant running in this weather. Well done!
I must say it gives me encouragement too - I'm thinking if you can do it then I can again. Dh needs to lose some weight too so it will be a bit easier if we're trying together. Plus if I can potter in the garden in the evenings instead of in the kitchen I won't be so tempted...
running in this weather is tough as you get sooo hot even at 8.30 in the morning. I get home and literally have steam comming out me trainers lol. I used to like going out in a t-shirt when it was frosty and everyone else was wrapped up in big winter coats!
I've got a wardrobe in the spare room with a size smaller clothes in and went through it yesterday and even fitted in some of it. I am deffo getting rid of current stuff when the time comes. As I hope I don't ever fit in to them ever again......
Well, I've got rid of one of those extra pounds, so I'm on the way down again - good luck this week Furball, and you too, Smalline. I've definitely found gardening instead of snacking is the way forward.
Terrific news Furball congratulations on losing a whole stone and some.
Looks like you've lost a pound since I last posted Heavybee I'm really pleased for you.
Well I had my weigh in today, the first in about 3 weeks, haven't been well recently, had this horrible ear infection which made me feel quite ill. Good news is that another pound has been lost, so that's 11.5 in total. Even better news was that I felt well enough to start my exercise routine up again, did some jogging this morning, managed to jog all the way home from the school run without stopping. I've signed up for the 'raceforlife' run which I will be doing on 15th June.
Sorry to hear you've been feeling so low, Smalline, I'd been wondering where you were and how you were doing. Hope now that you can jog again you start to feel better really quickly and congratulations on still losing weight in the meantime - 11.5 lb is such a lot to lose! And Furball that's just fantastic news, I'm so pleased for you. A stone and 1.5 lb in eight weeks is magnificent. Now you just have to keep it off.
I didn't lose any or gain any, or not to speak of, I lost a bit under a pound really so at least it's in the right direction. I also didn't have cake three or four times when I really wanted it so I'm hoping the desire is beginning to wear off. Yesterday after collecting the children I ate fruit instead of toast and then left the kitchen quickly.
1/2 lb this week, which i suppose was to be expected. I had two meals out - I wasn't naughty as such but you still don't quite know how things were cooked. Also went to the cinema with ds and started on his popcorn. at least it was a loss, phew!
Will try harder for next week as at 1/2lb a week I'll probably loss momentum!
Nothing, which is sad because in the middle of the week I'd definitely lost a couple of pounds, but not now. Oh well. I'm making an effort though and I'm eating less in the evenings. Good luck Furball you must be feeling great now that you've lost over a stone! And Smalline I hope your ear infection has cleared up completely, that must have been horrid.
cor blimey 1/2 lb again this week - I'm going to throw everything at it this week, to get me on a 2 lb a week track, I can't wait 6 months to loose another stone at the 1/2 lb a week malarky
Thing is, Furball, you are still losing, and if it comes off slowly it will be more likely to stay off. You probably will find it slows down now, but it will keep going down as long as you stick to it. Well done, and don't despair, just imagine what you would have felt like a stone ago to know you'd lose the first stone and be starting on the second!
Well there was no weigh-in last Monday due to the bank holiday. I weighed myself on Friday and lost a couple of pounds, however, that was before a weekend away. Went to the weigh-in today and was disappointed to find that I had stayed the same (as my official weigh-in 2 weeks ago).
I'm feeling much much better thanks Heavybee the ear infection made me realise that I haven't really been looking after myself, so I'm trying to fit in more fruit, water and exercise into my daily regime.
Furball you arelosing weight. I'm sorry that 1/2lb is too slow for you but listen to Heavybee the slower it comes off the longer it stays off. You have worked really hard to loose your first stone, please don't let this slow down put you off your second. One lady at weight watchers lost absolutely nothing for 3 months last year, despite sticking to the plan rigidly. She is on maintenance now having lost a total of 4 stones, she looks fantastic.
Hi Smalline, how lovely to hear from you! I'm so glad you're feeling better - and don't worry about the weight not coming off, some of the flab will definitely have turned into (heavier) muscle by now with the exercise. Furball good luck this week but don't fret if the losses aren't so dramatic, you probably don't have so much to go now because you've done so well. The last stone is very hard to shift. It can be done though, it's just slow. I'm down half a pound today on last week which isn't much but it's in the right direction. If it stops raining tomorrow as it's supposed to I might even get out into the garden, thus avoiding the temptations of the kitchen.... Good luck to all of us!
Please help me get back on track. I'm really fed up with constantly failing to lose weight. I snack on crap all evening most evenings even when not hungry. For example tonight i have had 2 snack size strawberry fruit corners and 4 penguin wafer bars. Before that i had a huge plate of home made but fried chips plus 3x bread and butter. (And a can of lager but very rare for me to drink!)
Now i have made one positive change. I have given up squash and now only drink water (don't like tea or coffee)
Last time i weighed myself (a few weeks ago) i was 12st 8lbs. Not so much worried about the weight or being a size 14. It is all the wobbly fat and bingo wings i hate.
How can i sort myself out? Do i need proper help with my over eating at night?
Can't really get to exercise classes and even though i often think during the day that i will do a dvd that night, it never happens. Even the running fizzled out even though i did like it.
don't panic tortose! I was eating like you only it was during the day. I've been on this thread for something like 3 years so shows how long I've dragged it out for. But I realised when my 16's became to tight that the only thing that would help me loose weight was ME. Someone at school said they were doing slimming world and would I like to go with them. Nope I said, been there done that. Got home and thought - it's a good diet, you can eat loads, sign me up. I've since stuck to it like glue over the last 9 weeks and have 1 lb to go for my 1 and 1/2 stone award .
now take your crap you were eating
you can have as many mueller light yogurts as you can eat, so on SW that wouldn't be a problem. On a green day you can eat as many potatoes as you can manage so you could also have a massive plate of SW (made in the oven with Fry Light) chips and that wouldn't be a problem and you could have a couple of slices of bread (no butter though mate, come on ) as what is called a healthyextra so that wouldn't have been a problem. The penguins would be a problem, you are allowed 10-15 (I have about 7 ) syns a day and I have managed the art of actually eating, enjoying and tasting (rather than munching down before the wrappers fully open) 1/2 squares of cadburys chocolate and can say that a whole small bar is now too much I don't drink so am lucky as thats where alot of syns go. But 1/2 a lager is about 6 syns.
So, if you look at it like that you haven't done too badly.
The other thing I do is meal plan and shop accordingly. the last thing you need is to get to the cupboard and start rummaging cos you can't think. Thats where it all falls apart.
If you are just wanting to tone the flab, could you run in the evening when you are most likely to snack? as I know what you mean about the DVD - I bought one just before christmas and haven't even unwrapped the celophane yet but you probably know from the couch potato thread I run 5km 3 times a week. It takes 30 mins, I listen to my music, get lost in my own world and help burn flab and am proud of the fact that at a size 16 (am a 14 now!) didn't look like an athlete, so shocked the hell out of anyone that saw or knew me!
Loads of Mnetters to help you along the way Tortoise. What do you think about it all?
Thank you furball. I think this thread was one of the 1st ones i posted on after i joined MN about 3 yrs ago!
What you post says sounds great. Money is tight and i find it hard to meal plan, never know what to make/cook.
It is difficult to run in the evenings because i have no-one to sit with DC. I have left DS1 with DD's in bed and DS2 cycled along with me, but only managed that once! By the time i have walked upto 6 miles a day on school runs etc i don't feel like running but i was really enjoying it. If i had the money i would buy a treadmill thing.
There isn't a slimming world group near to me which is a shame because i have often thought of joining. I did WW years ago which helped me lose lots but i hated point counting!
Not too bad so far today. Normally snacking starts once all DC are in bed. Last night it was 3 packs of crisps. Not much food in the house really other than crisps.
We had spaghetti carbonara for tea. Went down well and so easy to make. Why have i not made it before!
Hello Tortoise, nice to see you again! I know what you mean about snacking and it's difficult not to have snacks in the house if you've got children to deal with, but Furball's advice is (as always) all good and learning to plan meals is a great start. Also if you can manage not to buy the bags of crisps in the first place you can't eat them! I find if I'm trying to make/knit/sew something in the evening which involves NOT having sticky or greasy fingers I can manage on just cups of tea. My main method of keeping off the snacks is just staying out of the kitchen. I have to report no loss or gain this week but it's been chaotic and I'm quite pleased with that. It should be a bit more straightforward this week. Furball you're doing so well, you're losing enough for all the rest of us by yourself! I'm so pleased, nearly a stone and a half is truly impressive. Is there anything we can do to help you keep it off now that it's gone? Smalline how are you getting on with fitting more fruit and water and exercise into the day? I'm trying to remember to drink more water now too and it does make me feel altogether better so I hope the same works for you.
Good luck to all of us & let's hope we can follow Furball's example!
Tortoise - I know it hasn't got the same 'crips satisfaction' rating but how about getting in some nice crunchy fruit and veg and preping up aload of say chopped carrot for snacking on in the evening - I know it all sounds incredably dull but it may save you from crip overdose. You could have a pot of houmous or tzatiki or salsa as a dip and raw cauliflower and cucumbr is also nice dipped in. Or chopping up some really cripy tasty apples like 'pink lady' which taste like apples should taste. That way you can still satisfy your nibbles but you aren't damaging your weight.
I've been there tortoise, not being able to decide which flavour crips to have so have a bag of each honestly I have, it's more habit than anything but deffo a road to weight gain.
Furball you are absolutely right about the carrot sticks and houmous. It's one of my favourite snacks - houmous is good for you and filling without being wicked, definitely better than crisps, and carrots have just the right desirable sort of crunch. Tortoise you may find the children like it too, even my pernickety pair will happily eat raw carrot chopped into rounds, especially if they get their own bowlful each so they don't have to share!
Thanks HB and FB I am going to try harder and try to report in each evening. Can't eat much tonight. i had 3 fillings done today and mouth is quite sore. I will get some carrots and a cucumber and maybe keep a bowl on the desk in the eve. Will look into dips too. Don't think i like humous. Is low fat philidelphia stuff ok? I love raw cauliflower too.
I think philidelphia do extra low fat stuff now - so thats even better! Don't forget raw peppers to dip as well. Glad you seem more happier and in control tortoise
Hi tortoise it's lovely to hear from you again. There is some great advice on here from both HB and FB, it is so true that "theonlythingthatwillhelpyouloseweightisYOU."
Having said that... I was so disappointed at my weigh in this week, I could have cried. I had put on 1.5 lbs. However when I weighed myself the next morning I could see why. Over the last couple of weeks I have been exercising more and drinking more water, as well as eating more fruit. As a result of this I have increased the muscle and water content of my body and decreased fat content by nearly 1%. In other words a leaner, meaner but heavier me.
Oh by the way thank you Furball for the 'Raceforlife' link. Forgive my technology ignorance, what is a podcast?
smalline - it is a recording that you can put on your mp3 player or ipod. You can get mp3 players in cheapo places like argos for £5 or £6. They are like a little tiny teeny hardrive that you can download songs and stuff onto. The modern walkman really
Thanks Furball, I thought it might be something to do with that but wasn't sure. We bought our DS a little mp3 player for christmas, a Zen Stone 2GB, he was so excited when he opened it on Christmas day, we later found that it was not compatible with the version of software on our pc. I can charge it up on the pc but not download. Luckily it came with some music on it DS is quite happy that the phew!
another 1 lb off tonight {grin] got my 1 and 1/2 stone award and I got my 'club 10' award which is because I have now lost 10% of my original weight all in 12 weeks - bloody miracle!
Congratulations, Furball I'm so pleased for you! You can keep going now, even if the weight loss gets slower - we all know that the combination of eating less and exercising more is the only surefire way of weighing less and being a tidier shape. If you can do it then the rest of us surely can too, this is so encouraging! Well done.
HB - I eat like a horse! that's what's so great about slimming world, you can eat yourself silly - it's what you eat that counts!
I can honestly say I have never been hungry on this diet, that is why it's so good, cos when you're hungry, you go looking for stuff. If I get a case of the nibbles I hit the fruit bowl first.
I weighed myself this morning. Am 12st 6lbs. Just eating carrots sticks and phily now. Trying to ignore lemon drizzle cake in the kitchen! I tried looking at slimming world website but i think i need to look when less tired so it all sinks in! No sessions near to me unfortunatly but i did find a recipe book in the charity shop so hope to get some inspiration from there.
Also some shorts i bought last year don't fit now and they were a perfect fit.
After last weeks disappointing weigh in, I decided to give it my all this week. Well I'm very pleased to announce a 5 lb loss this week, taking me to a total of 1 stone 1 lb YIPPEE
Furball, Smalline and Tortoise you are all inspiring and I'm sorry I haven't lived up to your examples this week! I had two punnets of strawberries left over after a party and not enough people to eat them (dd2 is allergic in a big way and I come out in spots if they aren't cooked) so I turned them into a pot of jam which we all ate in quantity on home made bread all week. Hence I weigh a pound more . As the pot is now empty I should do better this week....
Tortoise shut your eyes - everyone else read this quick 1 lb on only myself to blaim. Just getting complacent with meals really nothing I can really put my finger on but amd bored with my food, just need to have a shake up of the old menus. am away this weekend with girlies and off to silverstone next thursday and can't weigh so have 2 weeks to recover from this.
tortoise - oh no! anything we can help with? more ideas maybe for 'the munchies'? quick meal ideas?
I have just spent the weekend away with girlies and sort of kept on track ish did succumb to strawberries with sugar and massive dollop of fresh double cream, a huge bag of nibbles, a naughty pudding (1st pudding in 3 months) and a bar of chocolate though. oops... but did get up early (6.30 - I'm an early riser) both mornings and go for a 5k run whilst the others stayed in bed til 10am.
will jump straight back on today though, the sun is shining and so is good for salads and light food
FB Not sure tbh. Am fed up with it all. I just need to try harder. Dinners are the hardest meal i think. Not a very good cook! And finding time to exercise is hard too. By the evening i just want to sit down! I am going to make soup tomorrow when i have money for veggies! Will have stinky wind by the evening though!
Picked another lolly instead of crisps. Think that is ok! I put pilates video on but it doesn't work right . Need to buy one when i can. I hope it will be better than the energetic ones i have.
well done tortoise! It is just a case of picking something else rather than something 'naughty' you don't need to deprive yourself from eating it is just being aware what choice you make whilst rumaging in the cupboard.
Am cooking carrot, leek and onion soup for lunch. Breakfast is hard too. Had toast with choc spread this morn! Ran out of jam. I always have too much butter on it though. I have found i don't feel bloated since not having milk in the mornings.
Tortoise, Furball is right about the butter, you can do without it. I had to change to dairyfree spread and I have only a smear of that, whereas I used to have toast just as an excuse for butter. After a while if you eat lots of butter again it tastes pretty revoltingly greasy, and I never thought I'd say that because I loved it. I eat muesli with soyamilk in the morning and that keeps me going easily until lunchtime, whereas toast with butter and cheese (!!) used to leave me looking for snacks by 11.00.
No change for me this week but luckily I'm too busy to stay long in the kitchen just now!
Good luck everyone, we can all do as well as Furball if we try. Smalline, how are you doing, leaner and meaner?
I've changed my weigh-in day to thursday as it is more convenient for me. I'm going to try really hard this week, the kids will start their summer holidays soon, that's the time when things start going down hill for me weight wise.
I will weigh in either tomorrow or Sunday. I have been a bit better than last week but not expecting to have lost anything. As long as i haven't gained!
Completly forgot to post here Saturday and i had good news! Weighed 12st 4 and 3/4! Very happy with that. Hope i can stay there or lose again this week.
Well done Tortoise, that's really encouraging! Can't say the same for me but at least I haven't put any on. I seem to have stuck at this weight for weeks and as my favourite jeans fit I seem to have lost the incentive to go any further. They'd still fit if I weighed half a stone less though, and other things would look better too. How do I keep my hands off the bread and strawberry jam?
Furball, you did well - more than I can say for me, I'm afraid. I put on another pound and I really didn't think I'd eaten that much. I will have to make much more effort. I still look a tidier shape than I did when I started though, because I do much more exercise, so that's something.
Good luck everyone and eat strawberries, but without the cream!
I'm up for that Furball & HB. So much for me changing my weigh in to thursday, haven't been able to make it the last 2 weeks for one reason or another, which is not good, can feel myself slipping back into my old ways.
OK, Furball and Smalline, you're right, let's really make an effort. Thank you! I need a push from you to get on with it!
I have come to the reluctant conclusion that I am going to have to think about this every day - having lost 9 or 10 lb in the first place I am now putting it back on again in a sneaky sort of way, and I really don't like it. I look MUCH better because I exercise every day and so it doesn't look as though I'm heavier, but I am. I did lots of cooking today but it wasn't lots of sweet stuff and I did get a good bike ride so I feel quite well exercised. OK. Virtue for a week and we'll see where it gets us....
Yes that is a good start Heavybee well done. I've stayed the same this week, I'm happy with that, I've a feeling that if I had been weighed last week, it would have reported a weight gain.
Anyway ladies it's my birthday today so I'm off for a large glass of wine. I resisted Tesco's chocolate party cake earlier. Cheers! How did you get on Furball?
2 lb off lets keep it up! - thats with a meal out too! although it was a curry and I kept to slimming world rules and chose wisely (veg jalfrezi, boiled rice, side order of bombay pots) I also had 1 1/2 poppadoms and all the sauces - luckily I was driving so just had water to drink.
I'm happy with that, not much effort and didn't feel the need for naughty stuff, went to MIL for tea the other night and she had a table of 8 puddings/cakes - for us 3 and them 2 ds had 5 - I chose something not on the table and raided 7 or 8 strawberries from the fridge.
I keep forgetting to weigh myself. Scales are upstairs and i have given up my room to DS2 so i hardly go up there now. I have a Futon.
I will have lost this week. Had 2 gall stones attacks Saturday plus pain most of sunday so i have hardly eaten for fear of another painful attack. I am really hungry.
tortoise - it's good you keep forgetting - when you next get on you could have lost loads!
Sorry to hear about your gallbladder - do you need to have it out? I thought you were ^alright' food wise if you steered clear of fat as that is what upsets it. which is good diet wise. Other than that how are you doing with it all?
FB Yes i think i will need it out at some point. Hopefully Dr can sort something tomorrow. Yes should be ok on no fat or very liw fat foods but thats where i get stuck. Also although i am really hungry i don't fancy eating anything. Today i have had 2 cereal bars and 2 pots of jelly.
Hi smalline. I am ok. Still eating little. But am finding more things i can eat, For example tonight i had Rice and sweet and sour sauce. Tastes just fine without the chicken and is much lower fat too! Breakfast tends to be a special K bar. I tried toast with jam, no butter but the jam on its own made my mouth sting.
Also helps that jelly type sweets ie wine gums, are very low in fat so i can have a treat too. Also i can have ice lollies when DC are having ice creams.
I have an appointment with a specialist on the 7th OCT! So i have to keep this up for a long time. And then i will find out if i can have the op to remove the gall bladder.
sorry girls - had no internet or phone for 2 weeks! thanks BT!!! am back and lost 1/2 ast week, this week I must have gained, will find out tonight.
tortoise - you poor thing - oct? crikes, tis a long time to suffer. My builder had troubles with his and as long as he didn't eat fat he was OK. He had it out a few months back and is now fine and can now eat anything (although in my case that would be a bad thing!!)
Hello all, have been away on holiday but didn't gain or lose anything so not too bad. Tortoise I have been thinking of you; people I know who have had gallbladders removed have all been much better afterwards! But maybe you'll manage without the op, which would probably be even better. In the mean time no fat is a pain but not impossible. I shall keep my fingers crossed for you. Furball don't worry, one piece of cake is ok! But put the leftovers straight into the freezer, then it won't sit there daring you to eat it. Smalline you're doing really well! You've lost twice what I've lost now and I'm really impressed.
lost 1.5 lbs?? completely how I don't know. I'd had birthday cake albeit small slices, but I licked the bowl (god it was good) I also had a 3 course meal out on saturday, a meal out sunday lunch (we were away) and a really huge lamb shank and mash and roast veg out on tuesday. so not Quite sure how I managed it.
went out for a meal last night (I Know!!) and had my first pudding (apart from saturday) since march. It was baileys cheesecake which came highly recommended by someone else, according to her they must of changed the recipe and it wasn't as nice. I still ate it though.
Oh thanks Heavybee, I'm totally in awe of you, how can you not put on weight on holiday? Hi everyone, have just returned from my hols, ate and drank loads, thoroughly enjoyed myself in the process. I've got my weightwatchers hat back on today, will see what damage I've done on my weigh in on Thursday. I don't regret one mouthful of it though.
Well done Furball! See, you're just in the habit of eating less these days - none of us would ever have thought of having small slices of birthday cake before, would we? So of course you're still losing weight, congratulations!
Oh, Smalline you're so nice - I don't put on weight on holiday as we can't eat out much being an entire family of problematic eaters. I'm so pleased you had a good time! So did we, but now it's back to my desk job and having cooked lunch in work which is lovely after making so many meals on holiday but not good for me. I'm a pound heavier this week but I'm hoping it'll go again now I'm thinking about it properly. Plus DH has been put on a low fat diet which should help us all...
Tortoise how are you getting on? I've been thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed.
thank you heavybee - you always manage to see the positive in me. Yes you are right about the small but did you notice the sices part? - I had a piece 3 days on the trot even if they were teeny.
