lego how are you? Sorry to hear about the same 5lb for ages, mines been a bit like that tbh, but sort of happy maintaining now so it's ok. Bikinis. Definitely the way to go, I took the plunge about 5 years ago, after deciding that one pieces just look frumpy and are actually too bloody hot, and have never looked back. NO one looks at you!!!!
My birthday is the 7th so I've got a week and a half. The problem is I've got a hen weekend next week which is very probably going to throw a spanner in the works. Also I'm due my totm later this week so will be bloat central.
Technically I've still got 1.6lb to go. I haven't logged the mid-week weigh as is not a true loss until weigh-day iyswim. <channels positive chub-be-gone vibes>

Dinky, we go on Saturday to my Mom's in Warwickshire, then hotel in Hampshire for a night, then ferry for day/2nights (so legitimately a cruise! ) then we get to Spain/France on 6th. Bit of a tour.
Randall, you'll just keep on Randalling and pulling it back I presume?
Am in a pair of slim fit chinos that have been in my wardrobe for 2 years as they wouldn't do up, or even get over thighs at first.
They fit! And there is room in the waist for the pub lunch DH is taking us out for
lizzy woo hoo on getting into the chinos. Those NSV are the best! I've been mourning a load of size 12 clothes I chucked out last year thinking I was kidding myself that I'd ever get back into them - gah!
dinky I'm at 143lbs today so it's not bad. I'm desperate to get under 10 stone before my hols (2 weeks). I need to dig deep especially during school holidays.

Lizzy enjoy your "new" chinos and your pub lunch. I love that feeling of something that was too tight being too big! Really brings it home to you how your body is changing.
Randall that is AMAZING - WELL DONE YOU! Enjoy the champagne! You are seriously an inspiration. We have similar heights, start weights and goals and I keep thinking of how amazingly you've done. Enjoy the birthday!
I've been at my parents' house since Friday - there's always loads of cheese, choc, crisps, cake and nice bread, plus because I'm veggie they always get me special stuff that I then come under pressure to eat!
But - it's much cooler here in the Highlands and yesterday I went swimming with the kids and for a 4 mile walk (yeah, I know not that far) and today for a lovely jog along the banks of the Caledonian Canal, so am trying to keep up a semblance of effort... There are scales here so will WI tomorrow as normal.
Enjoy your champers and just be so completely and utterly proud of yourself, you have done amazingly well, have introduced the verb to Randall into our lives and, you are a shadow of your former self
Buzzy, a lovely flat jog sounds fab, well done on sticking with it and exercising whilst away.
Am on a day boysitting today, woke up at 4.30am for no reason, just met a friend and her boys for a (wet!) park and cafe (just had coffee) run and am juicing all day. Energy levels are slipping. .....zzzzzzzzzzzz
I hadn't exercised properly for four weeks (builder-supervising for kitchen then holiday) but today I managed to get to the gym. I feel terrific! Have planned to go each morning this week. Looks like I'm back in the exercising game again. Hurrah!

The nines Randall!!!!! What do your friends and family think of how you look now? I'm still 23 BMI (aiming for where you are now) yet I keep getting "Oh you know, you looked fine before too" which I am sure is well-meaning of them but a bit more "OMG you look FAB" would be nice to hear. I mean, for God's sake, I was obese! My truly awesome DH, thank goodness, knows exactly what to say to me. But grrrrrr to everyone else <MIL, mother, SIL, cousins, I'm glaring at you>.
I get exactly the same Bssh My friends are pretty much all positive about it in fairness, but one keeps saying she doesn't believe me because I didn't look fat enough before to have lost 5 stone . I also had one say "you weren't fat before, you're just a skinny Minnie now". Again all well-meaning but a BMI of 32.3 is most definitely fat. It's obese ffs!
There's only 2 of them who have been a bit funny about it but I totally understand why. 1 has put on quite a lot of weight since stopping smoking a couple of years ago and I know she's conscious of it. The other one is very overweight, 20+ stone, and has been all her life. The only diet that ever worked for her was Lighter Life. She lost over 10 stone but put it all back on and more within a year. They've never commented on my weight-loss at all so I very rarely mention it in front of them. We all know its the elephant in the room but I hate the fact that it makes them feel badly about themselves.
I almost feel guilty because I've lost it so easily and they're struggling so much but then I remind myself that actually, it hasn't been easy for me. I've worked sodding hard! I've weighed and logged every single morsel I've eaten and drunk since bloody January! Not had one day off. And even though we all know I've done some serious Randalling along the way I've not once gone over my weekly allowance.
So although I'm more than aware that I've been very lucky losing as quickly as I have, it wasn't all luck. There was a lot of single-minded grim determination in there as well.

I tie myself up in knots too, Randall. Thank God we've not let comments (or lack of comments) put us off, eh? I'm still losing but no longer even mention it to the aforementioned people. I am doing this for me (well, also for my 5 yo DD - I'm an older mum and want to be around to see her grow well into middle adulthood...).
It's funny cause I too have had the "didn't look fat enough to have lost 5 stones" comment - several times in fact .

I have seen the gorgeous Bssh (and yes, you did look lovely before, your face is always beautiful, whatever size. Whereas I get jowls of a male orangutan ) and her fab transformation. What about you svelte Randall?
People who haven't yet hit the wall and decided to slim do get funny. To be fair I have had so many compliments and encouragement, I do find it a tad embarrassing. People are amazed I have only lost 1.5stone. Think that's the exercise making a difference. I was embarrassed today by hot young man at work saying how I had transformed my figure. I just think meh because I haven't reached my goal weight yet.
One friend though who hasn't reached the wall and decided to slim and who never exercises, did say she wasn't "selfish" enough to put the effort in to the detriment of her family. Which is sad. She is so worth the effort.

Lizzy you really shouldn't be taking too much notice of the scales, not with what you're doing. The compliments are genuine, I can guarantee it. The amount and type of exercising you're doing you must be looking fab, all firm and everything!
Not sure I'm brave enough to do pictures. Tbh I don't think I've got a 'before' one because I was awfully skilful at avoiding such things

Lizzy I know what you mean about wanting to be lighter. I lose less weight when exercising intensively and when I increased my weight training sessions and intensity whilst maintaining I actually put on a few lbs in that week - so demoralising, although I kept on exercising and the lbs went back down to maintainance weight after a few weeks. I've not exercised for 4 weeks and lost 5 lbs so am not looking forward to weighing in this week as I've resumed intensive weight training and cardio again. Yes, my body shape s completely different, but I still want to see evidence on the scales damnit!
We're never happy are we
First weigh-in for two weeks which included a holiday, TOM and return to exercise (quite bad muscle soreness & water retention) and I'm 1 lb up. Not as bad as I thought.
Only 1lb up after a holiday? Bloody well done!
Well I didn't weigh last Friday after our holiday so I'm sure I put on more and I might well have lost this week but I'm sticking to the number recorded this morning which is 1 lb over my lowest weight ever.
