Hey new thread since our old stopping smoking and not gaining-too--much weight has been lost from chat! BOO!!!

I am not a good role model however as I HAVE piled on a stone, well 12 lbs now, since giving up the cigs.
This must be rectified!
Hence joining in the club section!

Donnadoon hope you find this thread.

Everyone else pile in, join and be happy or miserable bastard ex smokers

Donnadoon Tue 09-Jul-13 13:02:12

Oh and I have a bleedin bump already 7 weeks I am! Never had a bump this early on before, it is DC 5 tho I suppose shock

Donnadoon Sat 20-Jul-13 01:15:27

Hi Fran hope you having a lovely time! Can't wait to hear all about what you've ate and drank grin
My diets been a joke, I'm eating crisps and sodding biscuits to stave off the all day sickness.

FrantasticO Sun 21-Jul-13 20:03:32

I'm back!!!!!
Had a fantastic holiday!
Stood on the scales today ...a sodding stone!
Feet are like balloons so praying its water!

Unlikely as my jaws are sore from the eating crap, and I don't have al day sickness!

Anyway never mind all that nonsense! How are you?
All day sickness sounds rubbish, did you get that before?
Early bumps are good I think, looks like a baby rather than an expanding waistline!

Still so excited for you!
Couldn't get logged on on my stupid phone to say hi while I was away.

Holiday was fab, though heatwave here sounds good too!
Hope you are taking it easy as you can when you have the other wee ones to mind.

Ooh and never had a cig of course, felt the notion a few times however people where smoking at the outside bar area and it REEKS!!!
We are well off without them.

And no worrying About bringing them home either!

Catch up soon.
Can't wait to hear how excited your other kids are about the baby.

Take care girl grin

Donnadoon Sun 21-Jul-13 23:39:52

Hiya I'm so glad you had a lovely time Fran !!
Sod the stone ... It ll fall off
I'm fine thanks but a bit worried I may get banned for a bit, I've stupidly stupidly and most unlike me, got involved in a dog argument in AIBU
I'm ashamed to say that I lost my temper with a particularly nasty dog hater
Oh well see what happens, but if I'm absent for a bit, you know why blush
Great to have you back though woo hoo !!

FrantasticO Mon 22-Jul-13 11:30:27

What!

You can't get banned.
I need my buddy for sanity purposes!
I'm sure it will all be fine.

Must be the hormones as I can't imagine you getting het up otherwise. Sure even when we were at the beginning of quitting and there was so much misery on some of the threads that it could have been a competitive sport you didn't bite!

Just don't go back on whatever thread it is, sometimes I think people come on here to try and goad people.

How's the sickness?
Hope you are managing, the first 3 months are so tiring.

I've finished a mountain of washing...my life is so rock n roll!
The joys of a fortnights holiday!
Back to work tomorrow, unless I either inherit a whack of money or break a non essential bone I'm thinking a toe would be ok! grin

Now repeat after me... no more squabbling with crazy people! grin

Catch up soon.

Donnadoon Mon 22-Jul-13 19:02:14

Oh Fran phew I'm still here
No bollocking email either, they must av agreed with me up at HQ
Thankyou MNHQ I will go back to being good now
Fran I have learned though, just hide the thread when you feel your blood pressure rising
I don't get road rage or que rage or any rage, hell I hardly even shout at my kids!
But god, I blame the hormones, and yes the goading, but I should have pulled myself up instead of completely losing my temper blush
Still it's done now, I shan't fall into that trap again.
Anyhoo so your back at work tomorrow (groan)
I'm not ate much the last couple of days because of yes the waves of nausea, but should pass at 12 weeks and I'm 9 weeks (groan again)
I'm loving frozen tip tops though, hope there's not too much sugar in them.
Chat later smile

FrantasticO Mon 22-Jul-13 21:45:02

Aw poor you donna, don't be worrying anymore.
Honestly some people on here could make 10 mountains out of a molehill and smile while dropping others in it!

Anyhoo it's all in the past lamma lamma!

Nausea is rubbish, keep the icelolly s coming if its all you can manage.
Still it's exciting thinking you are making lungs or eyebrows or some other body part for a whole new person!

It's def not happening here as husband is going for snip I the next couple of months sad

So I will enjoy your pregnancy without the nausea heh heh

Take it easy!

Donnadoon Tue 23-Jul-13 08:17:55

OMG the snip!! But that's so final Fran . Don't let him unless you are sure.
TBF to him it's good for him to get done rather than you because it's a bigger deal for women.
My DH would never get done selfish arse it would have to me, because I swear if I announced I was pregnant at age 6o odd he wouldn't bat an eye lid, they are all gifts apparently, bless him, he works 12 hours a day, he doesn't call them sodding gifts on a Sunday , I tell thee grin

FrantasticO Tue 23-Jul-13 23:07:52

You have me chuckling again at the sodding gifts!

I agree it is very final.
We agreed to wait a year and discuss and discuss we did!

On one level I do agree.
I'm 38, have 3 already and limited help with a husband who has to work away at times and a job that I find stressful at time most days!
Money is ok, but another would financially be madness, more nursery and afterschool fees!

However...a baby!

I'm so so excited for you!
I love the whole feeling them move and meeting a new person, and then you would never be without them once you have met them even when they are trying out for the school of satan!

Ah well, looks like the broodiness lingers a bit!
I am lucky though with all I have, so don't want to be coming as poor me and a moan a minute! grin

Enjoy every minute and fast forward the nausea

Catch up later

Donnadoon Wed 24-Jul-13 20:20:29

Hope being back at work isn't too gruelling Fran
I just fell asleep watching corrie, must be preggo to nod off on the sofa grin
Yes I think you need to count your blessings in this life, and not bite off more than you can chew either <<listens to children shrieking downstairs>> grin
I'm utterly grateful for my lot, I feel utterly greedy for having/wanting more
I cringe when I hear of people we know of going for IVF and spending thousands shock but worse than that the heartache they must go through sad
I console myself with the fact that, we are brilliant parents, the kids are fab, we can just about afford them all grin etc etc

Donnadoon Wed 24-Jul-13 20:21:51

When I say cringe I mean that I feel embarrassed by how lucky we are IYSWIM

FrantasticO Wed 24-Jul-13 21:31:50

Good on you donna, that's what life should be about!
Enjoy what you've got and good for you that you are pregnant again.

Life's not fair I suppose when it comes to IVF and infertility, however you didn't make the rules or cause any heartache.

Laughing at falling asleep at corrie...the overwhelming pregnancy tiredness, I remember it well.
Off to bed and get some rest, this heat is overpowering at times.

Work is...well work, hey ho and onwards!grin
Catch up later

Ps back on the straight and narrow again.
Minimal food and lots of exercise, oh happy days! grin

Donnadoon Wed 24-Jul-13 21:43:39

Well done you!
Told ya the stone will fall off bet its not a stone anyway
grin

FrantasticO Wed 24-Jul-13 23:18:18

It is so a stone mores the bloody pity

Think some had to be fluid though as already 6 down, it's a miracle I tell ya!

So 8 to go...

Get some rest mrs bump!

FrantasticO Thu 25-Jul-13 20:54:33

So so tired in this heat...and I'm not making a baby!

Hope you are ok!

Laters grin

Donnadoon Thu 25-Jul-13 21:06:50

Hiya I'm here just about
I need to grab a shower before bed but then I'm done
Cleared out dd1 s bedroom today, jeez, that is all.
I'm done in
Glad the weather has turned down a notch
It was too hot this time last week to lift a finger
Tara for now

Donnadoon Fri 26-Jul-13 00:52:42

Fran I can't sleep, my sleeping patterns gone out the window
Falling asleep in front of sodding soaps an all sorts !
Anyhoo I can't keep away from the bloody dog thread again
Not lost my rag this time though, just bickering
Pathetic ain't I ?
Don't know what's got into me?
Well I do , DH reckons its probably another little red haired babba
Sent me doolally the last time I was carrying my little redhaired perfectly placid contented little babba
confused
grin

FrantasticO Fri 26-Jul-13 19:57:58

Aww donna, this heat is fierce without the hormones on top!

Step away from the crazy dog people...I can't have you banned.

Who would listen to my drivel?

Keep well.
And don't let the crazies goad you
will have to look for this dog thread and see if they have any tips for my mad dog! grin

Donnadoon Fri 26-Jul-13 20:51:21

Ha they won't have any tips
It's about children unsupervised playing or tormenting dogs
And a couple of die hard dog haters are saying that kids can do whatever they like to our dogs blah blah
It's like being in a frickkin washing machine
I relapsed last night blush
But I am done with it now
I never normally get involved in bun fights FGS
Hormones and the heat I tell thee
Anyhoo back on the straight and narrow
But ... Erm I've just ate a bag of sensations Peking spare rib all to myself
Gosh they were gorgeous
Talk later pal

FrantasticO Fri 26-Jul-13 21:00:07

Hahaha!
Dogs n kids...is the rule not parent tells child leave it alone unless the have been invited to pet it?
Mines is an old softie still mad at 14 as he's a spaniel and not too keen on mad lunging stranger children, but wouldn't bite.

My responsibility and all that jazz, just make sure I'm not at huge gatherings with him and all is good! Even though he would love the petting!

Hope you are still getting out to pound the hill with your mutt on occasion!

Crisps are carbohydrates, one of the essential food groups, so needed for the baby, enjoy!!!

Once again

Repeat after me

Stay away from the crazies!

Catch up later! grin

Donnadoon Sat 27-Jul-13 11:20:53

Ah thanks for not making me feel bad about the crisps
I feel sick this morning though
Roll on 12 weeks, should pass then
No plans this weekend as yet
May walk up the canal and have a drink (raspberry j20 for me now) with my sister and her family tomorrow
I've been out and about with the kids all week, town, parks , shopping, friends birthday parties etc
All the things we have to get done when DH is at work, so the weekends are free for quality family time
Although last weekend we split activities, he took the boys fishing and I took the girls bowling
But enjoying lazying in bed at the moment with dd2 snoozing next to me.
Bliss
What you up to this weekend?

FrantasticO Sun 28-Jul-13 10:23:53

Hiya!
Was out on my annual night out with dh last night...babysitters are scarce!grin

Dressed up! Heels on!
Lovely meal and wine and cocktails!

Head a bit sore this morning heh heh!

Hope you enjoy your walk along canal, sounds lovely!

Rain rain and more rain here, so excuse for having an easy day!
We never get out and are always on the go with the kids, so not going to feel guilty about one boring Sunday!

Hope nausea better today, it's horrible spending day feeling seedy.

Catch up later.

Donnadoon Sun 28-Jul-13 13:55:56

Ooh your evening sounds lovely
Well done you pair!
It's gotta be done from time to time
We used to go out every year for a meal for our wedding anniversary
Didn't go last year because we had a newborn
Sorry about your rain
It's glorious here today
Off up the canal soon, can't really be arsed but I'm sure it will be enjoyed when we get there, especially by the kids
Talk later

FrantasticO Mon 29-Jul-13 11:36:51

Hiya!
Head is my own again, I am so not meant to drink wine!grin

How was the canal walk yesterday?
I ended up at soft play for my sins
Have 3 extra kids today, they have played, argued, played, argued, ate, argued...you see the theme!

Two want to be the boss and the others are just not fussed!

Quiet just now so I'm off to prepare the lunch, which will be in the like it or lump it variety!grin

How's the nausea today?

FrantasticO Tue 30-Jul-13 21:40:59

Hey mrs how are you?

I've been looking online for the pied piper to come and whistle my kids away for a few hours today!
They have been in full on demon training mode today.

Dog and I were tempted to leave them to it and set up camp under the trampoline grin and the rain was piddling down!

Hope you have had a better day!
