Don't bother with Dukan. It's restrictive, meaning you will crave what you can't have and become obsessive about food. Try the 5:2 fast diet it's easy and no foods are banned. Look at the posts for 5:2 there is a wealth of information.
I've just found out that I need to lose 2 stone, and reduce my BMI.
Reason: just been told by doctor that I have high blood pressure, but she thinks if i lose weight, my blood pressure will be reduced, and I won't have to take tablets. It seems to be that once you start on blood pressure drugs, its very hard to come back off them, so I really want to lose the weight.
So, it's lose weight or I'm on blood pressure tablets.
I've started doing some exercise, which should help. But I've never been into weight loss diets, and am so confused about this whole dieting business. Reading about the Dukan diet, it seems wonderful. BUT, I'm not sure how healthy it is. I thought it would be good in the short term to lose the weight. Anyone tried it??? Any advice??
