DH says the best bread is rye and he's a bit of a nutrition freak....I also think that if you like the filling thing that bread offers, you should have extra protein. I find that a "heavy" salad is good...red kidney beans, chick peas, good lettuce, peppers, and cucumber and salad onions all drenched in olive oil and balsamic is really nice and filling.
You could add a hard boiled egg too...
It does make you a bit...ahem,...windy....but it works!
I rarely eat meat...use Quorn as it is easy and I like it. My son wouldn't eat a veggie curry so it works as a happy compromise.
I have porridge with honey and some chilli chocolate powder with almond or rice milk for brekkie. Lunch is either cocopops with rice milk or sandwiches for lunch, and chilli, spag bog, curry with coconut milk not cream for tea. Rarely eat potatoes, but do eat pasta and bread...bought not made as I don't have time as bread makers need milk which I need to avoid.
Glad to know that veggie at least keeps the weight down
