Hi there everyone,
I started slim n save 6 days ago and so far so good. Have felt a bit hungry now and again, but have made my mind up about this diet that it's not worth cheating as it will kick start all the sugar/carb cravings. I have 3 weeks off work and my aim is to go back and maybe someone will say ' have you lost weight?'. that would make me be spurred onto keep going with VLCD. Tonight I had Spicey Spaghetti sachet with Zero Noodles from Holland and Barratt. It made me very full. The noodles are 16 cals, and 1.5 carbs for the pack, so not bad at all. Good luck everyone and keep going>
Hey I did Cambridge 810 and lost 22lbs in 6 weeks (14.2 - 12.8) first time, then lost 8lb currently on 810 in 2wks, had 2 cheat days with sweets and do drink low carb drinks and eat olives and other minor banned foods :-)
Once you're over day 4 for headaches/ moodiness it's on to day 7 weigh in feel good as you're away. By week 3 start it's noticeable loss and usually a dress size down!
Go for it !
Hi All,
I am starting slim and save shakes tomorrow, need to lose 4 stone... is anyone up to helping me through this? Its gonna be tough?
I've been doing S&S for nearly 7 weeks and have lost 21lbs
. It's the best vlcd I've ever done as the shakes, porridge and bars are so tasty!
Ladies stick with it. I started S&S on the 2nd January. I have lost 24lbs in 6 weeks. Gone from a size 22 to a 16. It has been hard at times but the trick is to never give up. x
The headache is carb withdrawal, should only last a day or two at most.
Have you tried having a chocolate shake hot? I think it's really nice! Or you could have a vanilla with a spoonful of coffe and its like a latte! Must be better than an icy shake at bedtime.
Onwards and downwards !
Yeah, its so unnatural not to be able to just eat a tiny something, especially something your brain thinks is good, like a slice of apple. I have to cook for dcs too, its so hard.
Got a bit of a headache, need more water probably.
I'm doing OK thanks, but I don't like the meals so i have a shake for brekkie, bar and cuppa tea for lunch, a protein and veg meal with a vitamin and then another shake at night.
The night shakes hardest as i have to have them with icecubes and i dont really want a freezing milkshake before bed!
Thanks
I do four packs, 9am,1pm,5pm and then I have a bar with a cup of tea at 9pm. I am finding it okay, I find the soup the most satisfying and longer lasting.
How are you getting on?
I really struggle at meal times as I do all the cooking for dp and 3 dc. Things like sandwiches especially. My 4yo likes his cut into small squares and I always want to pop one in my mouth!
Mind over matter!
And bloody well done on 8lbs!! wow!
<waves frantically>
Hi!
well done on 7 days, how are you finding it?
Are you doing 3 packs or 4?
Me! I'm on Day seven of slim and save, weigh in day! Lost 8.2lb. I am 214lb (not sure what this is in stone) and want to be about 9.5 stone.
I have a massive box in the kitchen full of stuff, I bought the monthly pack because it worked out cheaper but there does seem a lot!
Bump.
Just started slin and save yesterday morning.
Am Ok upto now. Evening meal is the worst as its most tempting.
Am about 12.7 stone wanting to.loose at least 2 stone.
Am planning on buying my supplies weekly as it feels like less pressure... like I only need to get through this week rather than knowing theres 2 months in the cupboard!
Just thought there might be someone else that is also doing a VLCD and might be interested in some hand holding and encouragement
