Hi all.

Have been lurking but need a right royal kick up the bum please in order to get back on track.

Am maintaining at 11.1 (got down to 10 12 but bounced back up after a few weeks and there I've stayed). Know I've just got to start really watching cals as am good on exercise front. Not being disastrous but have noticed a few weak willed moments when mid afternoon sugar surge has returned and I've succumbed. Also too many off days/ weeks. So no loss no surprise. However since I've not lost a pound since February and since I have 2 stone to go.... Please will someone give me a TALKING TO.

And hair - you seem quiet and think you were at a similar point?

Well done drd and imst.

have to admit, the more I'm losing the more motivated I'm getting. Still a long way to go though....

Reastie Tue 18-Jun-13 07:59:51

wow DrD that's amazing, well done grin

Yay DrDgrin

DrDumbass Tue 18-Jun-13 07:40:24

3 pounds off this week!!! grin grin grin grin

DrDumbass Mon 17-Jun-13 18:57:07

Got my weigh in in the morning..... eek. Have been really good this week though.
Congrats on the results so far.

8st 12 today, still pretty much maintaining (though I lost 1lb this week, I'm sure it'll be back next week). I now love how I look in clothes, and enjoy choosing clothes from the front of the display rails instead of the back. If only my clothes budget could keep up with my need for clothes that fit my new shape. Hopefully my book will keep me in enough pennies once I upload it!

Wow IMST fab dress bargain envy . Well done to the weeding, 8 hours of that has got to burn alot I think.

Well, another lb down this week <cheers>. Actually, this morning I was 11 13.5 - can't believe I'm nudging into the 11 stones. I actually had to double take as I thought for a second the scales were doing a malfunction sign I hadn't seen before blush . I'm counting 12 stone 1 as my official weigh in weight though as that's what I've been in general the past few days, so I'm thinking the 11 reading may be a bit over zealous.

How are the weigh ins going?

Reastie, hope you're feeling better. I found when I was losing weight it stayed on my chest for ages then all seemed to come off at once.
The dress is from Dorothy Perkins, it was in the sale then another 20% off so I got it for about £20. Not worth making it when I can buy that cheaply.
I spent yesterday weeding the hedge at the scout hut. 8 hours of pulling up and burning ground elder and horsetail, then a well earned onion Bhaji as a reward! I'll weigh in tomorrow, see how it goes. Hopefully a maintain.

Dr that's fab progress. I was like IMST - off the scale and bigger than Tonga. grin to your comment on your bum comment. Not true anymore though wink

IMST love the sound of your dress. I heart fifties style dresses. Did you make it yourself? Glad the front cover is all sorted on the book. Did you do it yourself or get someone to do it for you?

Bit of a rubbish day. Have had IBS and headache today and generally feeling low in motivation. Eating far too much chocolate and no exercise. Hopefully being good the rest of the week will be enough for at least a maintain this week though [hopeful] . I still find it weird that I'm now 9 lbs lighter than my wedding weight but half of my tops still don't fit me. Maybe my rib cage has expanded and never gone down from pg hmm or maybe it's just my huge belly overhang that won't shift

DrDumbass Sat 15-Jun-13 08:43:42

Well, I was Tonga, am now Samoa so I suppose that's progress of sorts grin

Thanks imst I bet that dress looked fabulous!!! and your book, how exciting!!!! never done the global fat scale (though I do know I have an arse the size of a small African country wink ), might try it.

Well done DrD,
Reastie, feedback on the book is great, I got the finalised book cover design today, it's perfect!
I wore a red polka dot fifties-style dress today, and got lots of compliments on it from various sources. I haven't done the global fat scale for a while, I was fatter than 99% of the worldhmm back at the start of my weight loss, last I looked I was fatter than under 50% of the UK (which was nice).

DrDumbass Fri 14-Jun-13 21:40:42

Not so bad. kept within my allowed calories attempted running (yet again) grin I'm glad I stuck with it though it's definitely getting easier.

Reastie Fri 14-Jun-13 21:03:02

dr how are your doing this week after your party last week end?

DrDumbass Fri 14-Jun-13 18:49:32

wow reastie envy

Reastie Fri 14-Jun-13 18:40:34

Where is everyone??? Word seems to have spread around work about how much weight I've lost, I had one of senior management actually stop me to talk to me about it today (she usually ignores everyone!). Am loving the compliments which for some reason are coming thick and fast at the minute. I went on the global fat scale today and have gone from fatter than Tsonga (is that a country or a tennis player? I'm not sure but you know what I mean - the heaviest country in the world) to a few countries above UK. I'm nearly average for my age grin woop woop. Still a stone until I'm healthy BMI though.

Gosh, sorry that sounds a bit self boasting and I really don't mean it that way, just nice to share here. Hope everyone is doing well.

IMST I see the book is nearly ready to go. How has the feedback been?

kato can I give you any money for the jeans?

Reastie Tue 11-Jun-13 18:40:55

It's a pb for amount of compliments in one day dr grin

DrDumbass Tue 11-Jun-13 18:39:11

wow reastie bet that put a spring in your step.

Reastie Tue 11-Jun-13 18:36:18

Hello, had to pop on with my good news NSV today. Got at least 4 comments on how nice my skirt was (it's an old pre preg one) and at least 3 'wow, you've lost lots of weight' or 'you're looking very slim' comments too [happy] grin . Hurray! However, whenever I tell people (only if they ask) I've lost over 5 1/2 stone people seem to look at me in disbelief and say they can't work out where I hid it as I look like I've lost weight but not that much IYKWIM. So, I'm debating whether I somehow hid all that weight better than I thought or if I still look bigger than I think hmm , or maybe they're just being nice...

dr excellent work on the maintain

IMST it's amazing how many calories you burn walking up hills!

DrDumbass Tue 11-Jun-13 07:05:23

reastie caloriffic!!! put the diet on hiatus for the celebrations so expected to gain, but maintained. Will have to work super hard this week and get back on it.

Ok, weighed, 8st 13lb!
Those 10 mile walks up and down hills were worth it thensmile.

Sorry, I was away last week, I'll log this week later (once DCs are at school).

Reastie Mon 10-Jun-13 07:12:56

Happy motivational Monday everyone. I notice I'm the only one to have logged my weight the past 2 weeks. Come on peoples, don't let me be the only one!

1lb down this week.

Finally got a compliment from DH yesterday. He called me a 'little wifey' and that I look very good at the minute. Not an amazing compliment but from DH this really is something! grin

dr how did the birthday celebrations go?

IMST walking up hills burns loads of calories so hopefully you'll be fine, and IMO you need to have a bit of a relaxed attitude to everything on holidays anyway. Glad the weather was good for you. We went to Wales a few years ago and it rained ALL week confused

DrDumbass Sat 08-Jun-13 15:28:07

Got my family up this weekend for my grandads birthday (he's 90) Big celebrations tonight....I'm so weak....will struggle a maintain this week.....shock
