Can't link to this from old thread but thought I'd start a new one as the old one was getting full and kept crashing my kindle.
Have put a link on the old thread.
VERY full after a nice roast dinner but I swear I ate a lot less than usual. Almost feel like I've had a hypno band...
I've just eaten 6 cow biscuits and now i feel uncomfortably full and a bit sick.
Hi chiefs! How are you all holding up in the snow?
Went swimming this morning with dd2 but then out for lunch - and had a glass of wine, not good. And some chips - v bad. Just about to log it but think i might have to be on starvation rations for then next few days to bring myself into line. So hard with all this snow, though.
Alright Chiefs! Feeling ok after a couple of weeks on WW/MFP and due to weigh tomorrow so will see if there's a positive result. But have now caught DD's cold and all I want to do is curl up on the sofa with dark chocolate hob nobs.
But I am resisting (with difficulty). Have just made next week's veg soup ready to portion up and had an Options hot choc to stave off the chocolatey cravings.
DH is doing MFP too after some persuasion so at least he doesn't keep trying to tempt me with stuff.
I know I should do some exercise today but just can't face it. Kick my lardy butt please!
<Presumes cow biscuits bear no relation to dog biscuits>
We went sledging today, but then to a kids party and I had 5 of those pineapple cheese sticks. I love them! And a handful of crisps...maybe afew handfuls!
I have also go friends coming over so have a roast in the oven, but no potatoes and no gravy I think might be ok?
Just checking in. Don't have much time to post but I am keeping up.
Cow biscuits are in fact malted milk's, after only ever calling them cow biscuits i had to really think hard to remember their proper name to log it.
Ok took the boys out in the snow. Pushchair isnt an option here so one was on the sledge. Just went to a cafe and back but with two little ones in an expidition!
I am back on the shred wagon -did a BFBM this morning.Looking forward to some duck and wine.
And apparently even with the croissant addition too. I'm 2lb down!
Well done Geek!
Made hummingbird chocolate cupcakes yesterday - under pressure from the kids. Had one and gonna have another tonight for my evening treat. So have been good so far today and have been sledging. DP has made hairy dieters chicken casserole......
Looking forward to a week of willpower and abdominal crunches.
Well done Geek - that's brilliant.
Name they're cow biscuits in our house too.
I'm from Lancashire and I love a good pie. I've got major Pie Envy Buzzy. I tried to cook mince pies for Christmas and I forgot to take them out of the oven because I was MNing so I am craving mince pies in a way that makes my mouth drool just thinking about it.
Boys also exercised in snow - we walked for hours, had a snowball fight I managed to make one cry and get snow in another's eyes, oh I should remember they aren't quite my size yet and DH and I took turns to piggy back the 3YO up the hill because we can't use the buggy - unfortunately DH broke the sledge in an over enthusiastic attempt to show off to the kids. Calories burnt all over the place. Yippee.
I really, really want the schools to be open tomorrow. Having 4DS stuck in the house on a cold winter's day is enough to test the small reserves of patience left from the lack of cake.
Now we're on my favourite subject - what are hummingbird chocolate cupcakes Raven?
Evening all.
Marking place in new thread, will be back later.
I made hummingbird choc cupcakes (hummingbird bakery recipe Tea) last week for DH's work. Amazingly I have resisted, and after having friends round on Friday they are all gone now. What I have found hard resisting today is the remains of DD's chorizo and cheese quesadilla. DH polished it off instead.
Marking place on shiny new thread.
Saw friends again this weekend but didn't go quite as off the rails as last time. Managed to stay within my calories for the day even after squeezing in a couple of salty snacks, really chuffed.
Hello chiefs!
It's not been the best weekend, had a few drinks, which I hadn't planned. We also went to a 4yo birthday party yesterday which was fully catered for the parents too. All homecooked Indian-Malaysian food.
Anyway, I'm almost glad to be back at work tomorrow as I can plan my food much better. I might have to miss the shred for a few days though as my ankle is very sore, I don't want to though.
Evening all. Not great here either, had lunch at friends, decided we would walk round there in the snow, to burn a few cals. Backfired spectacularly as ended up drinking lots of wine with lunch...
Oh. And then succumbing to plum crumble and cream.
I'll get my coat
School's closed tomorrow so I'll have DD1 as well as DD2 home, plus at least one of DD1' s school friends. Could go either way - healthy day full of sledging or they'll drive me to gin and chocolate by 11am.
I am loling at Pie Envy. I think this is what DH gets just before he gears himself up for his mammoth pastry-making seshes. I'm not even that fussed about the sodding stuff so it was wounding to drop all those cals yesterday!
Pies!?!?
<goes mad with desire for a cheesy pie or an apple pie or any pie at all really>
Before you go dinky can you describe the plum crumble -channel nigella- in lots of detail please?
Lula, that children's party sounds V good, well the adults food anyway. Bit better than plastic nuggets and floppy chips.
Where in Lancs are you from Tea? I'm in Rossendale Valley, surprisingly not too snowy, which is a first. Am a native Midlander though.
We had this gorgeous meal for dinner. Was wolfed down and was so tasty. V low in calories, had it with bulgar wheat which was also a resounding success.
Must say am rather enjoying hunting down healthy, low calorie recipes to cook at weekends. Cooked with DS1 today, he loved making the meatballs. Had to mash up the olives though so both boys would eat em, neither do olives!?
Have just had a tbsp of peanut butter mashed into frozen banana and not only was it delicious it was very filling. Probably wasn't a good idea on top of a piece of cake though, which I wasn't meant to eat but I got some out of the freezer to put in DH's packed lunch tomorrow and somehow felt compelled to slice a piece off. [embarrassed]
