It's a while since we "met" on the Big/Slim/Whatever Weight Loss Club, but with a few of us back on the Boot Camp and SW, we thought it would be good to re-start our own small support thread
I'm doing Boot Camp and have lost 5lb since Monday
2012 was a pretty shitty year - I'm looking forward to 2013 being better and this is a start!
Will be great to see you all again. This is Trimmer (as was).
I am aiming to lose a stone by the end of March. A slice of left over xmas cake will not help, but planning on boiled egg salad for tea.
My exercise routine went to pot, but it is coming back
How are you all doing?
blondes bounces in
want to lose 2.5 stone - 33 lbs - 30lbs to go
sw here and 3 lbs off today
Oh it's great to be back

I started the 'fast' diet on Monday, 5 days a week of eating anything I like and 2 days of fasting (on fasting days you can eat up to 500 calories a day). Will weigh myself tomorrow and post my results.
I'm still exercising and I got my red belt in Karate this year.
What is Boot Camp by the way???
boot camp = hard work rofl
just made chilli prawn linguni and bloody yummy
Boot Camp is BIWI's Low Carb Way of Eating. No fruit, nuts or alcohol in the first two weeks, only low carb veggies and as much protein and fat (but not too much dairy) as you want. You force yor body to go in to ketosis.
The Boot Camp bit is only in as much as you need to be strict and not give in to a sugar or carbohydrate "treat" at all - otherwise you'll come out of ketosis and all your hard work will be for nowt.
After a couple of days it's actually quite easy - I've not been hungry at all and I've been eating really well
. Parma ham drizzled with olive oil and an avocado, rocket, spring onion and tomato sakis with a garlic, olive oil, white wine vinegar and grain mustard dressing for lunch. Technically the tomato is a bit high carb, but I had less than half and my lack of carb count today should still be good.
Had left over ham and leek frittata for breakfast.
Smalline - I remember reading about the "Fasting Diet" in Good Housekeeping. They were highly recommending it. I may consider something along those lines when I get closer to my target weight.
Congratulations on your red belt
. No-one is going to diss you!
I've started Shredding again (actually I'm "Ripping" - her new DVD is called Ripped in 30), so we'll see how that goes. I've also somewhat recklessly signed up to some Women's only road cycling coaching sessions. 6-8 Saturdays, 3 hours a session, with the hope faint possibility that you'll enter some Women's Road Races in March.
I've even more recklessly signed up to a "Mum's from Matthew's cycling club" session at our brand new scarily steep velodrome. It's steeper than both Manchester and London
. Eek!!!!
Crumb - that's weird. Your my trimmer lol - are you doing sw?
5lbs off for me this week.
Pretty I decided to give this 'diet' a go after watching the 'Eat, fast and live longer' program last year presented by Michael Mosley. I forgot all about the program until I saw Michael promoting his book on the subject on one of the morning programmes last week.
Your meals sound delicious by the way, I could cope with those, it's the thought of no alcohol for 2 weeks that puts me off, not that I'm an alcoholic mind, I managed to go without for 7 days last year when I was on antibiotics
.
I like the idea of the Women's only road cycling coaching sessions, are they intended to help you build confidence to cycle on the roads? Cos I could do with some of those myself, not sure about road races though, let alone velodromes
, but you go girl
.
Hope everyone if having a good weekend, and good luck for next week.
Blondes SalaciousCrumb is a character in Star Wars! I weighed myself this morning and starting to track my progress from today, I too have 2.5 stone to lose.
I am doing sw. Today I've had scrambled eggs on toast, ryvitas & cheese from allowance, 2 carrots and 2 bananas. I fancy potato wedges for tea with quorn chilli.
Smalline well done on your karate red belt. If your local leisure centre also does Body Combat class you would enjoy that.
pretty I am impressed with your cycling efforts. I avoid anything to do with cycling since the bike collapsed on me during a spin/RPM class!....
How awful Crumb - were you hurt?
I've lost 8lb already in 6 days - official weigh in is tomorrow, so even if there's a fluctuation, I should still be at least half a stone down
. I recognise that some of that may be water and I'll not keep up that rate of loss but it's a nice start
.
I've noticed too that I've not needed to snack allowed foods only of course as much, but boy have I needed to go to the loo! I've even been waking up in the night needing a pee - which is unheard of for me!
Did 6 days worth of Ripped in 30 - today is my day "off" so I might go for a cycle ride or a run instead. <virtuous>
Ouch crumb
Well done pretty
7lb - half a stone
- off this week.
Down to 12stone 9lb.
Was actually 12stone 8lb yesterday but I was honest and put down what the lying scales said today
The bike collapsing incident happened about 3 years ago now I really should just get on a bike again!
My exercise tastes are changing, I am fed up with running, prefer hiking now, uphill is better for calorie burning.
Pretty Well done
Smalline well done on your 5lb loss. I am interested in that 'Eat, Fast, Live Longer' programme, will have a look at it. Do you feel light headed and avoid exercise when on 500 cals?
Blondes Are you still doing body combat/gym? I like sw but I am really bad for some reason at following a plan like ww or sw. As soon as I'm told what to do food wise I can't do it
I have cut out sugar, processed foods (as much as possible, still have quorn, stuff in tins) and fatty foods, so pretty much sw. Breakfast was scrambled egg on toast, lunch ryvitas, cheese and fruit. Tea will be veggie curry then to avoid the evening munchies carrot sticks, pickled onions and cucumber.
Pisty/Bebe/Anyone are you joining us?
Wow! great result Pretty
Crumb they had a pullout section in yesterdays Mail on Sunday about the E,F and LL diet, it gave me some menu ideas for my fasting days, and also recapped on the benefits of this diet. Last week was my first week on this plan, I didn't feel light headed at all on fast days, just felt grumpy, and went to bed early, also I didn't exercise on these days. Tomorrow is my first 'fast' day this week and I'm thinking of doing body combat & Karate. I'll let you know how I get on.
yes following sw - i know what to do/eat - just the syns bit is sometimes hard to work out but getting there
basically fish/meat with pasta/rice/pots and veg/salad
Roast chicken (with the skin) and creamy leeks done with lots of butter and cream for supper tonight.
Think I might get to like this Way of Eating!
'Green eyes flashing' pretty !!!!

I did the shred today, but the school is closed. No heating, so dd to entertain.
We have just had tortilla chips, snacked a bit. A willpower breakdown
Salad for tea. Hope I will still see a weight loss this Saturday.
Well done on doing the Shred - especially with dd around. I always find it very difficult to do my exercise DVDs when ds is in the house (although I did manage to do Ripped last Saturday - and Sunday was allowed as my day "off")
Don't worry about the tortilla chips. Just get yourself back into the "Zone" and keep going.
I will be doing the shred again tomorrow and a hike!
Thanks pretty
No weight loss for me this week, I'm a little disappointed, but I'm still going to carry on, I'll just have to look at it as 5lbs loss in 2 weeks
.
1 lb off for me- 20 4 in 2 weeks and yes better to look a monthly then weekly
