New thread for those of us who need a little kick every now and again. Remind me of your reasons for doing this again? I need to be a healthy weight for possibly the first time in my adult life. We all have blips. Days, sometimes even weeks off. And the scales stay the same or even go up. But long term, you should be losing weight and learning new habits to maintain. Think of it like house prices - they fluctuate and go down as well as up (apparently they do go up!). But over a long period of time you're unlikely to regret buying a house. welcome yoghurt you'll find all the support and virtual kicks up the bum you need here.
Just really hungry stealth and eating too much - really getting me down but don't feel strong enough to deal with hunger. Also because of work and getting barely any sleep all week end I haven't been to the gym in over a week and will only get to go once this week - I think I knew things would get worse when I went back to work until I settled into my new routine but it's still frustrating.
I'm wearing my size 18 jeans today but they are so tight I can't get the button on and the zip is pretty snug fit, but they make me feel like I'm achieving something even if they won't do up given I was a size 22 just over 2 months ago.
reastie just wondering if a DIY, low fat graze box would help at work? I think is fab you've lost 2 dress sizes. And in only two months. Don't worry about today. You seem pretty determined to do this so don't let one day hold you back.
theone it's been more like an off week if I'm honest . Nothing even too bad, just eating more than I was before I was back at work, Oh, and I'm not quite 2 dress sizes less yet, more like one I just made myself squeeze into these jeans today as my other ones fall down and I refuse to buy a new pair in the hope I will fit in these properly soon
Reastie. Chin up. That is fab progress. It's much harder to Fit exercise in when back at work. But shred is good for time poor! Though I'm still resisting today. Also try to have as much protein as possible. I'm sure that is the solution to hunger. Though I refuse to go low carb.
I posted earlier but lost it I think. 2lb on after holiday. At least I'm in good company this week. But I have realised I've lost and now regained those 2lb since I got back from France a month ago. Need to work harder to hot December goal!!! Lunch was lentil and bacon soup and hummous with v yummy crisp breads (which I thought were 39 cals each, but are only 9 cals. So started with 3 and ended up having 6! But still better than toast).
Just need to navigate 2 day trip to London and hazards of hotel food and coffee aka cake breaks. Own snacks is probably the answer!
Healthy graze box? mmmmm. Maybe rice cakes? I know they're for children but I really like the Annabel Karmin tomato rice and corn snacks . I love the food doctor soy nuts as they really fill me up and are a good source of protein, but they aren't that low in fat or calories.Dried fruit? Would be interested to hear others' ideas too.
Forgot to say, thank you so much for your encouraging comments - really helps - think without this thread I would have just given up ages ago. At present I'm considering giving up work for many reasons (although in fairness I'm always thinking about giving up work since I returned from mat leave!) which would free up lots more time to go to the gym. Wish we were more financially secure though as not sure it's fair to DH for me to stop working.
