Right. This saves us clogging up the post-natal thread.
I'm 5'9" and when I was last weighed I think I was about 130kg
I'm going to get weighed tomorrow and clear out the cupboards on Sunday. I'm going to get the application for the leisure centre membership too, though I can't do that until September.
Marking place!
I want to get out of my 'fat' jeans into my fav jeans
Nice one LMF.
Time to face up to it, starting weight 209lbs (I don't do kilos), BMI 35.7. I've downloaded the NHS BMI tracker app, and now enjoying my last glass of wine that I don't deserve. At least weighing last thing at night I should weigh less tomorrow morning
.
I watched the hairy dieters too for inspiration.
Joining - am 5 ft 2 in and 9st 6 today. Need to lose half a stone to get to pre prey then another mythical half stone to get to dream weight.
Managed to drop 8 pounds since beg may by eating the bare min and cutting out cake. Problem is I love cake and would eat it all day long if I could. More self control needed. Portion control and no smacking/cakes is my plan
Motto: if it doesn't hurt, it is not working
Def no smacking cakes - what have they done to deserve it.....
Made us fat?! Mine weakness is biscuits, though the
and chocolate don't help.
hawthers
Right, you all know I've had a good start this week, make sure I keep it up please!!
I'm 5"7, starting weight 227lb, ideal aim is 147lb, but would be happy to get back below 160 would be awesome.
Off to bed as I'm up at 3am!!!!!
I'm 15 stone 3 (213 pounds for those USA types) and want to get back to 12 stone (pre-TTC weight). Wouldn't mind a few pounds less but at 5 ft 8 i am never going to be a size 12....real aim is to get back into all my
Size 16s.
Today I have started half-and-halving sugar/sweetener in my coffee. Fairy steps are us.
Scales in tesco borked so will head to boots in a bit.
Looking at getting some buggy weights as well, walking with a heavier pram will be better cardio non?
Place marking!
Starting weight back in May was 217lb, am now 197lb after losing another 5lb this week - yay!
I'm doing a very low carb diet (mostly from veg) and eating only unprocessed food (salad, veg, eggs, fish, chicken etc.). I'm off to see the local gym tomorrow morning for a proper diet sheet and will be having 3 protein shakes a day as well as 3 meals! I need to lose 3-4 stone ideally.
Well done missree!
Revised weight from this morning is 207lb. I have managed to eat just one chocolate digestive instead of four, and turned down offers of cheese rolls and pork pie.
How often does everyone plan on weighing themselves? Should we choose one day each week where we all have a weigh-in?
I don't have scales so can't weigh at sensible times. You chaps go ahead though
(I refuse to buy them on the basis that they're harmfully in a house with small kids who get bombarded with crap about food all the time at school.)
Also: we'll done for keeping on
At the moment I'm weighing on a friday but I know the gym don't like you to weigh any more frequently than fortnightly!
Today myfitnesspal has reminded me that I drink too many lattes on a Saturday >_<
Next Saturday I shall make the change to filter or americano
I'll allow myself one latte a week as an emergency measure.
I meal-planned today, then shopped accordingly. Then had to go back to tesco as I had forgotten loo roll in my quest to not buy anything that wasn't on my list >_<
I also got weighed. I'm 20st 7lb/130.6kg. Believe it or not that's over three stone down on pre-pregnancy weight. My BMI is 44, it used to be 48.
I'm planning to meal plan the summer away, then hit the gym/pool when the kids go back to school. This time next year I'd like to have shifted at least five stone.
Good luck lmf. More success, I've managed to give DS sweets without stealing any, and his tea time leftovers went straight in the bin. I think something may have clicked today.
Argh leftovers - I'm so bad at scoffing eating them.
Am currently so hungry I'd like to chew my own arm off. Hopefully that will mean results this week...
The kids are buzzing over my meal plans for the week. Will be making cheese sauce in a Hairy Dieters stylee on Monday, using cornflour instead of a roux to thicken it all up. I'm going to go buy a nutmeg, as the powder is tolerable but the real deal is much more flavoursome, and with there being no butter I think it will need all the help it can get!
The kids are also rather desperate to try the lasagne with leek instead of pasta, but I'm not prepared for them to do without carbs and I am not making to lasagnes! Instead I'm going to just layer in the centre of the dish, so there's a gap all the way round. Then one proper layer on top to stop the white sauce disappearing into the ragu.
Mmm. Lasagne
Has anyone ever used carrot in their ragu? I've not so would like some ha d holding at the time, as I'm not a fan of the veggies. I cook them a lot for the kids, but tend to avoid like the proverbial five year old myself >_<
Anyway. Bed!
LMF you could do a pasta bake instead with wholemeal pasta shapes? The kids will never know it's healthier
They eat fabulously, it's me that's the problem. Also , wholemeal pasta is vile. Less of the good stuff is the way forward
I survived an all-you-can-eat bbq christening buffet!
(it was an afternoon do and I decided that I'd darned well eat what I liked and remonstrate later. Fortunately it was a late lunch do and so over the afternoon I munched two cheesburgers and a plate of rather nice salad : as I didn't then want dinner it was not the blowout I'd feared!)
But this is why I dislike calorie counting. I know that from a maths point of view it provides a disincentive to overeating, but I don't like the "running out of todays allowance" psychology. Also, like LMF, I'd often rather have one bacon butty than five apples, and "low fat reduced" calorie versions often taste vile: I'd rather eat proper yummy cake less often. Once I was offered a slice of "slimming world special cake" which was made with weird bran flour: it tasted vile!!!
I'm going to give the myfitness app another week and see if it's earnt its place versus the time i waste typing it in!
Anyway, weight this week is 3 lb down from my start weight, and since I stopped the BFing I dropped 3 lb that i've not included here as bosom weight reduction was fluid rather than lard). So a good start, though I'm aiming for a half pound to a pound a week loss. I'm up to weekly weights if you guys are, someone pick a day. And then maybe the people who like to weigh less often can do every other one or once a month?
I can weigh most weekends, as I go to town to drop the kids off
Today there will be cake making by the children >_<
Also: I hate being hungry when I go to bed. Too many years of eating my dinner late:/
Saturdays then?
