Welcome to thread 10 of the Paul McKenna's I Can Make You Thin weight loss system.
The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system are:
1. Eat what you WANT
2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY
4. STOP eating when you are satisfied and full
This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches. So forget diets; they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. This is a new way of living for your brand new life!!
The Paul McKenna system really works and is easy to maintain.
I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.
Here are the book choices on AMAZON which is all you need to get started! they aren't compulsory, but they do help! it's something to refer to and listening to the cd's can really focus you.
This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.
You don't have to buy the book and CD, but we have found that they do help and somehow they keep you on track, so it would probably be a good investment and will cost you far less than a couple of trips to WW or SW meetings, so do consider having them in your life.
Please feel free to join us, whether it's 10lbs or 10 stones you want to lose.
We are friendly, supportive and successful, but we're not hungry OH NO we're not!!! so come on in and start living your new life today!
Morning all
tb Are you far from a market ? (We get amazing fresh fruit and veg. 2\3 cheaper than in the supermkts and in London) in markets here. Good luck with the job
gorn a bit quiet on ere innit?
Morning. Yes, very quiet.
I have lapsed horribly owing to work and family stress, but today is a new week so I am newly determined.
It hasn't been all bad - although I have turned to cake for comfort somewhat, at least I have broken the brownie in half, say, rather than finishing itn. I do get as much comfort from a couple of mouthfuls as mindlessly eating it all.
Well it's easy just to restart isn't it thedoc? I'm finding the cold, depressing weather is not conducive to eating as healthily as I like or exercising as much!! The fr. and us go into hibernation in the winter so am noticing a bit of 'spread' in the mirror
how are you Solo?
I'm not good actually, for many reasons pp 14yo Ds and I are clashing so much, I feel I actually dislike him and want him gone
I mean, of course I don't but <sigh> he's stressing me out so much. Last night I had palpitations after a run in with him and I actually want to hurt him
. Having my own hormonal war going on plus all the other crap doesn't help...
Oh poor sols
I remember that age with the DCs
it's a difficult age to put it mildly but you have to find the strength to rise above it (they don't mean it personally what with yr hormones and his Oh dear
)
Just a thought; do you take evening primrose oil? If you do take more if you don't try it it may well be very helpful
Sorry to hear that solo
Did 2000m on the rowing machine earlier, first bit of exercise for nearly two weeks. Want to sleep now but have a lunch meeting!
Hi everyone. Sorry I am being so rubbish at keeping up with the thread
I am up and down like a yoyo with this atm, I seem to have got myself on a sugar roller coaster which is really stupid and really annoying. Went to the gym earlier and did a good hour - I am definitely loads fitter than a couple of months ago, but not losing any weight!
Doctrine well done on the rowing, I find it has a very positive effect on my hips, bizarrely!
Solo that sounds horrid
I dread that age with my boys, I find DS2 enough of a handful because he is so wilful and destructive when he hasn't got my full attention. Sending you strength and some calm thoughts.
Morning
lovely to hear from you Ali just a few ideas to help on the weight loss front (i've managed to remove a bit of waist spread
Hurray by-:
1.Stopping eating after 7.3o p.m. (i was necking a few lovely little sweet figs and walnuts)!
2. Remembering my own advice and pulling in the belly muscles all day and doing the muffin busting exercise.
3. Doing a; turning right round looking at the wall behind while keeping feet in front, on both sides, exercise.
Hello all
Not much to report except I managed to leave half my pudding last night despite it being delicious and having had some booze, because I was pleasantly full.
Well done Doctrine
ppeat unfortunately the logistics of work (DH) and childcare mean that DH and I normally eat our dinner around 8.30-9pm. Not ideal, but that is how it is atm!
What I was doing, and what I must do again, was really cutting down our portion size in the evenings. They have crept up with the arrival of baked potatoes and casseroles
Arse, I have just spilled a bag of rice over the kitchen floor. Bugger.
Of course Ali if you're doing P.M. you won't want to eat a LARGE amount any way will you? like doc
You can just start it again if you've 'forgotten' it
!
Oh dear, I fell off the Fred!
Will have a read back. Not much changes with me, except the size of my belly. Struggling a bit with that given my precious weight ishoos but DH is telling me I am very sexy which helps! 18 weeks and weight remains static
ppeat
Faith - that is fabulous to be static at 18 weeks. I found being pregnant very liberating from a 'body image' point of view, it made me feel positive about my body in a way that I hadn't done before. You are at an awkward point, where depending on outfit etc you don't always look very pregnant - it gets better soon!
Do you lot remember me talking last year about the problem we had with DS1 at preschool? He wouldn't participate in a group, didn't want to do anything except counting and other number-related things, and hadn't got the hang of socialising at all.
Just got back from parents evening, and he is doing brilliantly. Teacher is v.pleased with his social and emotional development, he is making friends and joins in with everything. Yay!
[massive relief emoticon]
Reading back a bit - sorry to hear things are tough solo. It's a difficult age.
That's great news Ali! You just be so chuffed
Yes I'm amazed delighted at the static weight considering I had a BMI of borderline of 30! I put it down to Paul's influence - I'm still eating smaller meals - and being back on shifts. Running round for 36 hours a week after doing an office job must be helping! I've also started doing gentle classes at my local leisure centre - either yoga or Pilates - to gently exercise and help with my muscles and core. It's not pregnancy specific but the class leader tells me if there's any moves I shouldn't do
Morning all nice to have a bit of action for a change
HaveaI reckon along with P.M. the gluten free diet is helping you remain static with yr weight. WELL DONE!! The exes also sound a great idea!
Faith, well done on static weight. Have you tried aqua natal classes, I found them really nice (just remember to pelvic floor clench as you cone out of the warm, bump supporting water!)
Ali, really happy for you and DS.
3000m on the rowing machine for me today
Yes I think the GF diet probably helps too. Can't have much fizzy either which helps
Sadly the classes round here are a bit pants. The only pregnancy yoga class insist you attend 10 weeks in a row which is impossible for shifts. There are aqua classes where I'm going but not pregnancy specific and only on a Monday. I'm working lots of Mondays! But I might go a week on Monday. I'm also not sure about swim wear. I think my normal costume will be too small but I dunno if I'll fit in the maternity tankini my sister gave me. Will have to have a try on!
Doc that's fantastic rowing, well done you!
Morning all!
Morning!
Afternoon!!
How's it going sols?
Hello!
Need to have small sob, DH has had his contract cut short so he finishes in 2 weeks - arrrgghhh. Really hoping he can find something to start before Christmas. Bloody hell.
Hope everyone else is ok
