I don't think there's anything on the website, it's a plan you have to set up with your consultant, they work out a number of units based on your weight mainly but also activity levels and give you a leaflet with menu choices, each choice has a number of units, you have to plan a week of meals and snacks from the leaflet with your consultant and then stick to it.
It's also known as the slimming world straight jacket, because whats on your meal plan is all you can eat, even fruit and veg has a unit value, although you get one "free" salad or veg choice per day.
It's a kick start plan, you can only do it for a maximum of two weeks, and then you have to go back to the standard plan. You're only supposed to do it every now and again because it's so restrictive, it's calorie based rather than food optimising.
I'm going to wait to see what the scales say on Thursday before I decide to do it for another week, it's a pretty tough plan.
I'm not used to feeling hungry between meals, but I've committed to doing this for a week and I'm going to see it out, hopefully it'll be worth it and I'll get a good loss this week.
Well, it's day 4 and I'm getting very hungry between meals, I'm so used to grabbing a piece of fruit or a fat free yogurt (or both) between meals, I'm never usually hungry on SW.
Anyway, I'm going to see this through and see if it's worth it when I get on the scales on Thursday.
It's made me reconsider my portion sizes, I probably need to aim somewhere between these tiny portions and the large ones I usually have, I am probably eating too much, even though I'm sticking to the plan. I'm also getting used to drinking the vast amounts of water and will try to keep it up after the week is up.
I don't think I'll do it for a second week, not unless I do a couple of days back on the green plan in between. Although I'm a bit concerned that after such a strict calorie controlled week I might have a gain the week after unless I keep the portion sizes in check.
I'm longing to know how you got on at your weigh in as I'm starting fast forward tomorrow after being stuck around the same weight since October ( I've lost over 8 stone with SW so far ) I've spent the last 6 months going up a little then down a bit etc etc so I know I can maintain my weight loss but really want to lose about one more stone to get me to target ... come on - put me out of my misery !!
COOkie I was in a similar position, I've lost 4.5 stone in total, but after putting on a few pounds over Christmas and New Year and have been 1lb on 1lb off ever since.
After 6 days on fast forward I lost 4.5lb.
I'm now back to 7lb to target and feeling a bit more positive.
It was really hard but it's made me re evaluate my eating habits and in particular my portion sizes, I'm also going to try to keep the water drinking up, although maybe not quite as much as the 1500ml you have to drink on fast forward.
Like you I'm not too worried about maintaining, I'm just struggling to actually get to target.
TeaOneSugar Thanks for replying , made me determined to give it a go so I started this morning ( will give me 5 days before weigh in ) Planned my meals , been shopping , weighed and portioned out what seems like hundreds of tubs of food - which seems strange in itself - and am now all set . Let's hope it's worth the extra effort ! Am really going to try to stick to it for the 2 weeks in the hope that it kick starts my weight loss again . I'll let you know how I get on . Good luck with the rest of your weight loss journey . Sue.
I'm 2 days in now and it took all my restraint not to steal my little boy's fish finger earlier! I too have realised that I eat far too big portions, fast forward is a shock to the system but I am using my extra units on vegetables to bulk up my meals so that I am fuller for longer. The weekend will be the big test for me :/
I've done fast forward and yes you lose quite a bit of weight. It is totally different from normal slimming world, but really good if you need that extra boost. On average you should loose anywhere between 4-8 lbs in the one week. It's not very well publicized but your consultant should give you your daily units you can use. Good luck x
I'm on fast forward at the moment (day 1), so far I've had a pint of water at brekkie, lunch and tea. For brekkie I had 2 rashers bacon with 2 slices toast, lunch was 2 slices toast 2 oz baked beans and a satsuma, then I had 170g strawbs with 7 tbsp!!!! Fromage, tea was the pasta and tomato sauce, choc mousse and the salad option. I've had a rocky bar and I'll have a highlights drink later. It's hard and I've done it before. I lost 5 1/2lb the first time, and hoping this will kick start me again. My friend just did hers last week and she lost 8 1/2lb!!!!!!! It defo helps you lose, but you need to be careful the next week you're back on your normal plan. Keep us posted on how you get on
