I started a new job 2 weeks ago. When I started I weighed 10st 6lbs. I am now on my feet 9 hours a day and eating less.
Typical diet day -
Breakfast - 2 wheetabix and milk
Lunch - small sandwich, low fat yogurt and a satsuma
Dinner - chicken, veg and potatoe.
Not bad is it - so why the hell do I now weigh 10st 10lbs??? I would call it water retention from being on my feet all day but my skinny jeans are definately becomming tighter!!
How????? Arnt you supposed to LOSE weight when you exercise more and eat less?
what where you eating before? What type of ob where you doing before?

Maybe all the being on your feet has created muscle - which is heavier?

Before I started my job I would eat sugary cereal (like wheetos, coco pops etc) and a chocolate bar about 11ish. For my lunch I'd have something like supa noodles and a packet of crisps, a flap jack or something similar mid afternoon and then something like chicken kievs, chips and beans for dinner, cake for afters and then usually chocolate on the night!! so how on earth am I putting ON weight since changing this terrible diet?
Lakota, the muscle is a nice thought but I'm definately getting fatter. I can feel it in my clothes.

my job before was a sitting down at the computer all day type job.
building muscle in two weeks would be great wouldn't it!
I don't know how you are getting tight clothes - the only thing I can think of is aunt sally is coming and you are retaining more fluid than normal

no Aunt Sally has been and gone! Funnily enough she arrived the first day of my new job (along with the usual 4lbs she usually brings with her) and now she's gone but she's forgotten the 4lbs! Usually it buggers off straight away, this time I just can't shift it.

Ha, I was going to say the opposite to the 'Aunt Sally' theory and ask if you were pregnant!

Maybe the healthier fibrous food is holding on to water. Are you more relaxed in this job? I moved jobs once from something quite stressful to something quite relaxed and seemed to put on half a stone over the first week-end!

Cut the carbs - plus you are having wheat twice a day.

Are you drinking a lot of milky/ sugary drinks, OP? Easy to not count coffee, and if your coffee is a latte or similar...
