What should I do?

His son was ill with cancer, he wasa around 19/20. We are quite friendly with them, DH helps him with legal stuff etc, but as they live behind us, we don;t get to 'see' them alot.

i knew before xmas his son was ill, but he just called to spk with dh and i asked after his son and he said he died 6wks ago.

i dont want to do nothing, but do i send a card/flowers now?

i feel i should, but what do you think?

definitely a card

grieving is a process .. so there isn't a time limit to offering condolences ... any form of help you feel willing to offer might be appreciated .. now and in a year's time

a card and perhaps a shrub/young tree (sapling?) to plant in their garden?
