hi have two healthy DS's 9yrs and 2yrs all normal pregnancys no complications. Since then have has 2 missed miscarriages at 16wks (give or take a day) have had every test under the sun, ruled out everything...APS, thyroid, chromosomes all fine for me and DH and post mortem showed nothing. No infections everyone is totally baffled. Decided to not try again and then hey presto immaculate conception well almost ...(sex once after last loss, withdrawal used and am pregnant!) Flippin nightmare, am now 15+1 weeks, plan to have a scan next week and at the moment can only assume it will be dead again.....anyone out there with mid trimester losses with no explanation???? HELP

Hi dinkynoodles, I'm so sorry to hear what you have been through. It's great news that you're pregnant though and I'll keep my fingers crossed that it all works out this time for you. I can understand you worrying that it won't, but some people do have m/cs and then go on to give birth to a healthy baby and it's great that they have ruled out lots of things with the tests - although I imagine that must also be really frustrating for you. Let us know how your scan goes next week.

xx

Good luck dinky. I had a missed m/c at 16wks, only found at 22wks in January so can only imagine how it feels to have it happen twice. No explanation for me either and my next pregnancy was ectopic so approaching trying again with trepidation. Let us know how it goes, fingers crossed.

Good luck with your scan. I lost my baby last month at 16 weeks. I was really ill though the blood tests and cultures didn't show anything and niether did the post mortem , he was perfectly developed for gestation. I had measles which because it's a virus wasn't detected by any of the tests they did as they were looking for bacteria.
I reaLLY HOPE ALL GOES WELL FOR YOU.

Hi I have a healthy son of 3, but lost a baby in march at 20 wks she was perfect and to this day I still dont have a reason why it happened, I think that is the hardest part, you have to think positive, you hopefully will have a nice surprise at your scan !! fingers crossed thinking of you dinkynoodles

I had 2 healthy children, then lost one at 5 weeks, then had another healthy child, then lost one at 9 weeks, then lost one at 16 weeks, then had another healthy child, no explanations but possibly because I was 39 & 40 for the last two MC's. My last pregnancy was worrying to be honest, every scan I expected the worst, but it all turned out fine in the end. (so glad I didn't give up, she's lovely) Miscarriages are very common, but most happen before people know they are pregnant.
Good luck with your scan, I really hope everything goes well for you.
