What should I do on the anniversary of my friend's ds' death?

Next week will be a year. I'm finding it hard so goodness knows how she feels. She has a new baby so I don't want to go crashing in, but OTOH I don't want her to think we haven't remembered.

I was thinking of putting a card through her door saying we are thinking of them all with a note saying to ring me if she needs to.

Yes, a card with that message is perfect imo.

I think a card is best in this situation.

Nearlythree,I am sure your friend will really appreciate your card. You sound as if you care and are there for her but it is,I agree, very difficult talking about death at times.

In 11 days time it'll be the 7th anniversary of when my son was stillborn.

Every year my family either place flowers at his grave, send me a thinking of you card or a simple text message or email.

They all mean the same, that they've remembered him and that's what is most important.

I'm sure your friend will be pleased that you remembered and should be glad to have a friend like you.

A good friend lost her husband last year. I sent her a text on the anniversary just to say that I was thinking of her. Then I rang her in the evening - she really appreciated it.
