Writing 'Thank you for your sympathy letters'

I have been weeping copious tears while writing these letters, but it has made me realise just how kind some people have been.

The ladies from the care home, who came to the funeral and were so distraught.

The family of the man who sat next to her at the home. I have never met them as we never visited at the same time.

My cousin and her two daughters. I now what it would be like to have sisters.

And a MNetter whose dad was admitted to hospital on the same day. Her messages and kindness while she has been going through so much herself have been such a comfort.

I am just so grateful to them all and hope that everyone on here can find a person to help them through there own personal loss.

Oh, bless you for being so kind and grateful in your own time of loss.

Years ago I wrote to the parents of a friend (and ex-BF) on his death. I didn't do it to get a reply of course, but had one in an instant.

Another friend had the same and remarked that they'd got reply before they posted the letter. :o

I still have the letter somewhere, and was humbled how, in the midst of the grief at the death of their only child, there was room to remember my particular relationship, though years in the past.

Many Thanks to you, florentina1, your thank-you letters will mean so much.
