when I am at work it is mostly as if nothing has happened.

I am glad it is helping you get some sense of purpose and routine. It must be important to feel you are doing something positive.
But, please don't try too much all at once.
You will be knackered.

It must be good to get some sort of routine back.

I know what you mean about the pitiful looks, why do people do that???

Is it because they really do not know what to say, or perhaps just don't know how to handle death.

Do you work full time???

Try not to do too much all at once.
