Its dreadful here and I'm worried none of us know what practical things we need to do

I remember that happening to me 20 years ago,l when my DM died - had to wait for DS to wake up to tell him.

I so wanted him to sleep & not know.

The practical things will work out for you over the next few days - they just come at you & you sort them.

Make sure you eat & keep hydrated - it's too easy to skip all of that.
