Bereavement

Time goes so quickly

As dd2 makes her birthday plans I'm reminded as ever that it's the anniversary of her twin's death. Luckily she survived for 24 hours therefore we have a different date to remember. She had hypoplastic left heart.
This year it will be 10 years. How come it has gone so quickly but feels like yesterday?

I'm so lucky - my other 4 children are fantastic, but I'm not ready for Octavia to be forgotten yet.

Swedishmum-HI
A loss can never be forgotten!
They say time heals, but there are times when it feels so raw-you know what I mean?
Thinking of you at this time.
Happy Birthday to DD2.
Do you feel your grief takes over the joy of DD2's birthdays?
Ive been through simular situation,& it happened around my birthday & my first born DS.
It does put a dampner on the situation.
Have a fab day though

I always separate it from dd's birthday - it's only fair. This year my mum is terminally ill so I guess it will be more poignant.
