...my dinky little 18-month old dd2, who has been causing some tuts from paediatricians over her slow development, has just started walking.

She took her first steps a week ago and is now toddling along quite confidently, even though her gait is still distinctly odd. I took her to buy her first shoes only to be told her feet were too small! but have now tracked down the dinkiest little red start-rite mary-janes. So now my last baby is walking and wearing little shoes, and isn't really a baby any more. [smiling proudly through emotional sobs emoticon]

That is great news Frogs . Dd was never dinky but also didn't walk til 18 months and I remember the relief so well.
Hope this marks the beginning of the end of your little tadpole's scrutiny by the paeds!

Well done to DD2. My DS didn't walk until 18 months either, and I remember how proud I was when he finally did it.

I hope she likes her dinky little shoes.
