Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

We had the rabbit clock for dd1 which closes it's eyes until the time you set then wakes up. Didn't work very well for us though as dd1 worked out how to wake up the rabbit and used to bring it through saying "but he's awake - look!"

Angel - oh that is good! it was very like that, but also had the time in the face. But...in the absence of what I am actually looking for, that might well do what I want it to...which is for DD to stay in bed later than 5:30am-6am grin

That is very similar imsonotelling, not exactly the same, but close!

It reminded me, when I think of it, of the grobag egg thermometer, but it was not that. It was like it.

I saw them ages ago, they have different lights, and you can programme the light to change colour at a set time. So you can tell your LO that they have to stay in bed til it turns green, or whatever before they can tell the time, and in the process they learn about time.

What are they called? I can't remember? Do you have any clue what i am talking about?

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
