My 6 month old just cries all the time .We keep blaming things like his colic, his reflux his teeth coming in.At the moment you can look at him the wrong way and he has a hissyfit or breaks his heart. This can last for up to an hour!!! Sounds insignificant but it's really getting me down. Not enjoying most of my time with him.Sorry to moan. When he is happy he's the loveliest baby in the world,it just doesn't last very long. Also has the screaming abdabs before going to sleep during the day because he fights it till he is shattered!

Not sure if this will be at all useful, but does his day have a routine to it? it might help to write down what you do and when, then try and pin point the hissy fit moments, or post it on here so we can all help? If you've already done this, have you tried cranial osteopathy, as that sometimes helps cryers a lot.

Cheers frizbe, went to cranial osteopath for his reflux.Tends to cry at any time for any/no reason. Has milk and solids at the same time everyday, tends to get sleepy at around the same time.Wondered if he is getting a bit bored and fed up becaus he tries new things and can't quite manage.eg wants to sit up,roll over etc

We go out as much as weather permits(I can't drive). The car and pram walks are no guarantee of peace or sleeping. No teeth yet but has been much worse since symptoms started about 6 weeks ago.He is like a little limpet still cries when he is in my arms sometimes but goes mad if put down.Another well used phrase in our house is "Oh ,he'll get better when he's older"(have been saying that since colic began at 3weeks.Sorry to grumble he really is a gorgeous boy. It's just I'm going back to work soon and I can't bear the thought of him being that upset and not being there to comfort him

Brodiesmummy, you sound like such a lovely mum. Do you think you might be getting a bit tense about going back to work. I think at six months babies can pick up on tension and emotional upset.
Just a thought.

Have you ever used a sling - seems to comfort babies alot and they like the view.

Like hermykne says how regular is he - any discomfort there. What does he eat? Might be an allergy... just thinking of possibilities
