My ds's a are 7 and nearly 5 and obviously bicker and argue mostly at meal times when we are all together.I am getting sick of hearing myself say "stop it T" and "thats enough J" and i just wondered if i should let it go over my head a bit more and lighten up.It is the usual name calling and belittling each other.I wondered what anyone else did in these situations.

Is that a good book to get? What do you do?

I used to intervene but one or the other always feels hard done by. Now I try to distract - usually ds1 is the instigator so I try to lure ds2 out of the room! If I ignore it usually kicks off unfortunately with ds2 coming off worse for wear.

That is what i was afraid of.ds2 is such a gentle soul and although he does start it sometimes it is probably the result of 4 yrs of persecution from ds1!!
