3 times in the last month DD has come back from nursery with injuries. 2 nasty bites and some bad scratching to her face - which I worry may scar tbh.

Of course this is the result of kids squabbling and hitting out and the nursery are very apologetic and inform the offending child's parents but tbh I am a bit fed up with the seriousness of the attacks and the result of them.

Am I over reacting? (LO is 2 btw)

God no that is way OTT. I would ask to know what is going on and what they are going to do to prevent it from happening again.

I don't think you are. Children are mean to each other but bites and scratches are bad. Did she need antibiotics for the bites?

The staff should be supervising the children more.

horrible isn't it?

but it happens - and very quickly.

Do you know what the nursery's policy is for handling? Sometimes they separate the child from the group for a while and often work with the parents to try and stop it.

I think if they're doing this, then thats probably about as much as you can expect.

My DD1 (now 7) was bitten on the face really badly, it's quite upsetting isn't it?

Is it the same child doing it to her? I would expect the nursery to be doing something more proactive. None of my dcs have ever come home with anything like that. Make a fuss.

this probably isn't very helpful but 3 times in a month? I would go absolutely mad. As would a mum if my son had done it to their child. I know it's just kids being kids, but seriously this needs to stop, they need to split them up, or take other steps to protect your child until the "offender" has moved out of this stage....
