Help - DD bites nursery staff!!!!

When I collected dd (2.10) from nursery yesterday was absolutely horrified to learn that she had bitten one of the staff - twice!!! Apparently she had got very over excited when they were geting ready to go outside in the garden and just let rip!! She was told it was very bad to bite and made to say sorry to the person concerned! Felt absolutely awful as she has never done this before and knows that biting is naughty! I guess I should be grateful it wasn't one of the other children! The rational side of me thinks it was just a one off as she is going through a bit of a silly/willful phase at the moment, she's been told off and had the 'biting is bad' chat so just move on, put it into perspective and don't go on about it. The flappy side of me is worried that my dd is going to turn into a total savage and be excluded from nursery and we'll get sued!!!
Just having a flap but a bit of calming advice wouldn't go amiss!
