How old was your DC when they started to make toys talk to each other?

As in "meaningful play". Making the eat/drink, kiss each other etc? Have conversations between 2 teddies - you get the idea!

About three I think, he does it now and has been for a little while, but not long.
It's more cars and lego men that talk to each other than teddies though

DD used to do this with Happy Land - so sometime between 18 months and 2yo. It was almost always a party with them visiting one another to play

DS2 started between two castle figures and his fort figures and his little people people when he was less than 2, maybe close to 15mths!

he still does it now (he is 5), and is my ost imaginitive yet....(which is why so many of us do things we distinctly cannot remember doing!)

at least it is one thing his teacher CAN appreiciate about him, as his singing in class ALL the time is something that is driving her nuts right now.....(how does she think I feel after years of him singing ALL THE FARKIN TIME....)

DS2 has done it for a while now - he's just two.

He makes the nightlight we have say, "Hello, Mummy. Hello, DS2" in a squeaky voice too

Thanks everyone, DD has started this and is 16m and I was a bit suprised but obviously there is a wide range of ages here. Not that I was worried, it's a good thing - just unexpected She is currently making 3 teddies sit up in a line, one falls over, she picks it up and says something to it and puts it back down!

She has gone from not doing anything for more than 2 minutes alone to happily chatting and Playing for ages, literally overnight! I have all this time in the day now - what will I do?
