Do molars really come out one cusp at a time????

Poor DD is having a terrible time and when I peered in to her mouth, there was a hint of a molar. Then she got a bit better in herself and then it all started again and now there's a hint of a bit more of ONE cusp of the darn thing. Is this how it is??? How long does it take for one molar to come out??

You mean come through!! I was thinking you meant fall out.. bit by bit..

Yes they sort of do now I think about it.. and can be a little sore

Yes that is how they come through. When all four points have broken the surface any teething pain should ease off.

And they can appear only to get submerged in the gum again or you can be stuck with half a side up for weeks before the other side bothers to get moving. It is all very annoying.

And then before you know it, they get all wobbly FOR MONTHS sometimes and then they fall out and you have to find a £1 in the middle of the night and the adult ones take EVEN MORE MONTHS to grow down.
