I have a Beechams digital thermometer that you place on forehead press a button and it beeps and gives temp. Just taken my sons temperature and always do it 3 times straight after one another but it has read 3 different temp ranging 36.4 37.0 37.2, is that normal to get 3 different readings within 30 seconds?. Would like to know which temperature taking method people have found most accurate?

generally it is advised to take the temp a couple of times to check its right.

all those readings are within a degree of each other. that is a perfectly acceptable level of accuracy for reading your kids temp imo. and you can do it while they sleep.
