regression in toilet training?

We trained ds1 (now 2.11) about 3 or 4 months ago and he'd pretty much mastered if with only the very occasional mishap....since the weekend he's been having several accidents a day - 5 on Sunday! Is this normal? He has changed classes at nursery but nothing else has changed - and he's perfectly happy there. Anyone else had similar?

Dd (2.8) was potty trained really quickly in April. Recently she has started leaving it right til the last second to go to the toilet and does a bit in her knickers almost every time. I've had to start bribing her to go earlier. Her cousin has started doing the same thing too and she was potty trained at the same time. Hopefully someone will have some good advice for us.

Probably quite normal. He might just have got a bit complacent about it and isn't tatking himself soon enough. Try not to pay too much attention, just get him sorted out with as little fuss as possible and it should right itself in a week or two. Sometimes even a minor change in routine can upset their routine even if it's not actually making them unhappy. It's just a readjustment.

My dd is exactly the same furrycat. dry with minimal accidents usually, but the last 2 weeks has hardly got any in the toilet (although poo's are fine thankfully!). she seems completely unbothered. we've initiated a sticker chart agian with a degree of success so far. I also get her to change out of her wet things herself so it's more hassle for her to wet herself than simply go to the toilet. Trying to do loads of praise and attention for other things incase it's an attention thing.

My grandson (2.11 now) did just the same - seemed to learn to use the potty very quickly, then a month or so ago had a spell of several wee accidents a day. We couldn't figure out a reason. Thankfully he is back to mostly dry again now. He does resist using the potty tho' - will invariably say no if asked if he needs a wee.
