Confused about when i can put DS into a 'Grobag'????

I have a grobag i used for DD, it is a 0-6 months one and i was going to put Jaylen in it as he kicks his blankets off in the night.

I have just been reading on the growbag site and it says to only use on 'full term' babies, or premature ones that have reached 10lb.

DS was born 3 and a half weeks early - but has not really been treated as 'premature' as he was a healthy 7lb 7 when born.

So now he is nearly 7 weeks and around 9 1/2 lbs i think - is it ok to put him in one now?

Sorry if sounds bit daft - just wanted to check.

Thanks

I think we always followed the 10lb rule - would have thought that 9 and a half at seven weeks should be ok?

The best way to see if it is ok is to check whether your lo's head fits through the neck of the grobag - if your lo's head is able to go through the neck while it is fastened then it shouldnt be used. If your lo's head is too big to fit through then it is safe to use. The age/weight is given as a guide and the actual size of your lo should be taken into account.

From bumpto3 website: It is very important to check that your baby?s head cannot pass through the neck-hole when the grobag® baby sleeping bag is fastened for use.
