I appreciate this is probably a natural stage .. what with DD now being 5 months old .. but would appreciate any advice

He adores his baby sister and is very loving / gentle and playful with her

But he's getting ever so clingy to me .. never has been before .. and is saying things like "I don't like Daddy" to me and to his face and "I don't want Daddy to come"

DH has always been really good with him and does as much as he is able to .. he puts him to bed every night and takes him out for a walk at the weekend .. the last couple of days he's been putting more effort into it . but things aren't improving yet

eg this morning he tickled DS, DS laughed throughout then when DH stopped ..DS looked round at me and starting pouting saying daddy had hurt his mouth ..

any help out there? what can we do?

Hi Amfs, we are also experiencing this, ds 3 yrs 5 mths tells daddy to go away, I don't like you, that kind of thing, my dh is getting really upset about it, like your dh, he plays with him, takes him for days out, etc.

Hopefully it's just a stage they are going through

Sorry that it's not much help, just thought you should know that you're not the only one cos it can sometimes feel like that!!

My dd is a temperamental little soul and went for a few weeks where she wouldn't go out with daddy . (she usually pops out with him to library/museum/MacDonalds ).
Anyway, we told her she could do what she wanted that day, (which she usually does but she sat and chose the beach ALL DAY PLEASE). Once she'd done that daddy was back in favour.
Hope it get's resolved Amfs, even though they're only 3 and melodramatic, it's still awful isn't it??
