DD 20mths has decided tonight that she wants to sleep in the big bed (no disturbance so far) Unfortunately it is the spare double bed. We are due to move her into that room anyway but need to make it her room as dd/ds2 due in March. Origionally planned to put her in a cot bed then remove sides so she didn't feel pushed out of the cot. What now, as needs a bed and storage/space?

Hi, I bought this bwww.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500000701&langId=- 1&searchTerms=thomas+the+tank+engine+tent+bed

There is a girl's version too, it's easy to put up and stays on the bed by elastic... it stays there too!

My little boy loves to go to bed and it makes him feel lovely and secure, maybe your little girl would like one of these put on top of a single bed? What do you think? .

Cheers Browney thats a handy link as I haven't got the catalogue handy. I quite fancy the one with the slide to get down. DD would love it! Although might encourage too much play at bedtime!

Glad you like them, I loved the slide one too, but my ds2 has a tiny bedroom and playtime at bedtime isn't such a good idea . My ds2 loves his 'tent bed', he hasn't once got out of bed once he's in it, it's lovely and cosy in there. Please let me know how you get one .

We had something similar for ds - be warned if yours is a hot child, one of those will make him a VERY VERY hot child.

We've had one since the Spring and my ds2 has been fine in it, saying that we haven't had a very hot summer this year - you can always keep the little door open by the velco .

Yes, but at least I'm lucky that its the spare double dd took a shine to instead of mine!! She was really good this am and just shouted mummy. When I went in she was still in bed fully covered with duvet saying 'wake' 'wake'! as I expected her to come to find me!
