Just been to get him weighed (out of sheer curiosity as opposed to feeling I "have" to) - and in the last 5 weeks (he's now 15 weeks) he's gone from being 13lb 11oz, to 16lb 7!!!! He was only 7lb 6 when he was born - how on earth do I produce such big heffalump boys

all the lovely newborn sized clothes i bought never got worn. (he's 2 now and though tall he's "normal" sized)

I've had heffalumps - DS2 was only slightly bigger than DS1 at birth, but v. quickly overtook him age/age comparisons, and although there's 3yrs age difference if I'm behind on the washing they often both just wear DS1's tops....I can't find DS2's "red book" atm but I've checked DS1's and DS3 is already 2lb heavier than he was at the same age - arghhhhhh - DS1 and DS2 eat as much as me already and I'm quivering at the thought of my shopping bill in a few years time

That means the screeching before he has his bottle isn't having an effect ! Yay ! Go Queenie, go Queenie

Bumped into an MN'er while I was there (doesn't post these days really) and her DD is 27 weeks and 1lb lighter

She is not wrong..this is FACT

You know your son was going to be right when he said to me..."my brother is as big as your baby"

PMSL - I know - mind you DS2 will say anything to anyone - he still tells complete strangers occasionaly "we've got a new baby" (needless to say they get a bit of a shock when they look in the pushchair and see DS3).

Sent you an email btw.

Big babies are gorgeous. I was looking at my DCs red books and DS was exactly the same length and weight at 6 months as what DD is now (16 months)

Ds2 was like that! He had really chubby little legs and I remember quickly saying to the GP "I am just breastfeeding him!" as I thought she would assume I was stuffing him with bottles with rice in them! Ds1 and ds3 were always skinny creatures though.

My son was 8.9 at birth and now at 12 weeks he is 15.6 We are both small people...where did he come from? He's never had anything but breastmilk!

my DS was born 9lb 3 at birth - at his 6 week check he was 16lb 3....i was so embarrassed as a lady with 6 month old was there and her baaby was lighter

DD on the other hand only weighed 8lb 1 at birth and follwed the centile perfectly
