just curious really. dd is blue-eyed at 5 months. which is a bit of a surprise as we're all brown-eyed folk here. so might she change?

dd2 is 25 weeks and her blue eyes have been developing brown flecks just lately.

It's perfectly possible to have a blue eyed child from brown eyed parents if both parents carry the recessive blue eye gene. It's a one in four chance.

DS changed from vivid blue to greeny/hazel at about 12 months and DDs seem to be going the same way at about the same age!!!

DS's eyes started to go a much darker blue at around 2 months and were definitely brown by 6 months.

dp has green eyes, mine are brown.

dd2 has browny/green eyes (but they didn't change till she was nearly 1) and ds has the brightest blue eyes in the world, they look like this:

Neither of us can think of any blue eyed family members, but there must be one in there somewhere, I suppose!

DD1's eyes were blue-grey until she was about 2.

Now they're very green without a fleck of brown.

I have very brown eyes, DH's are blue.

DD2's eyes are hazel and she's 20 months.

cruisemum we meet again. DD 9 months brown/green/grey - mud is the closest description, was wondering when they will/if settle down to a colour. I'm hispanic - olive skin/brown eyes, DH red head with green eyes. My brother has green, my mother had grey eyes. DD has inherited a right mixture - she doens't look like any of her cousins on all six of them have blue eyes.

I have 8 children, i have green eyes, dp had blue eyes

5 of our DC have blue eyes
2 have green
1 has brown (almost black) eyes (blue when born-dark brown by 8 weeks)

DS3 had bright blue eyes up until 1 year ago, they suddenly changed to peircing green! at the age of 8!

The other green eyed DS has brown/green eyes really, different shades on different days..but as he is getting older they are usually green more than brown.

Both my boys eyes darkened up really quickly. They both had dark blue eyes at birth, but their eyes were brown by around 3 months & stayed that way.
