sitting up

obviously babies learn to sit up in a gradual process sitting for a bit longer each time. when is the cross over from being unable to sit up to being able to do it? how long do they have to be able to sit up for to be considered able to sit up? hope this makes sense - its early/late depending on how you look at it!

i think i looked at it more from the perspective of 'if they fall over can they stop themselves?' that's the point i thought dd could really sit up, when she didn't constantly threaten to open her head on the coffee table.
you're up late, btw... are you okay?
