Swim nappies and a small baby

Me and DD (9 weeks) are due to start baby swimming on Friday.
I am very excited and we both have new cossies!! DD's a substantial swim nappy from JoJo.
The class asks for double layering to prevent 'fouling' and I have been looking at the disposable swimming nappies.
My only problem is that the smallest of these are for babies weighing 20lbs (pampers brand) 0r 16lbs (huggies brand)
DD only weighs 9lbs!!!
In Boots they have a reusable one but again it is 'medium' to fit babies of 25lbs.
I' don't really want her to wear a normal nappy as I know how they swell in water.
Any advice please?

WHat about another reusable? Kooshies do one with ties which you cantighten up as much as need.

They're similar to the boots ones. I'm aware that time is not on my side, interms of delivery

Usually double layering is done with a wetsuit type material "happy nappy" over a disp swim nappy - our Waterbabies class requires this. The happy nappy is available in all sizes, even preemie sizes.

Don't worry about the size of the disp swim nappy - get the Huggies 16lb ones no matter how small your baby is and the "happy nappy" will keep it on.

If you don't have a "happy nappy" you can get them from the waterbabies.co.uk website or splashabout.net.

Enjoy the swimming - me and 12 week old dd have been enjoying it for 3 weeks now!
