Waking in the night

Out DD is 21 months and for the past 10 months her sleep has been erratic. She has good weeks and bad weeks and very very bad weeks. No two weeks are the same.

At the minute we are having a very bad week, she keeps waking about 3am and staying awake chattering on for upto 1 1/2 hours, this is making me an DP very tired, very irritable and very argumentative.

She has a very good bedtime routine (I think!), we take her up to her bedroom at 6.20pm, while we run a bath, bath at 6.30pm, out 6.45pm, pj's on, she sits in her rocking chair while she drinks her milk and I read her a story. Into bed by 7.00pm.

We are debating on whether to put her up earlier or let her stay up later, some ideas on this would be appreciated as we are at our wits end.

Cheers

Lisa
