WTF do you do?

Today it was just me and ds as dh was away hunting.
Up at 6, breakfast etc then drove to the lake for morning tea and a run around. Was scorching hot here so packed up to get ds out of sun about 11 and was home by 1/2 past. We needed to stay out of sun for awhile as have no shade so I got out puzzles, lasted 10mins, got out magnets and board, lasted 5mins, got out a make and bake window hanger thing, lasted 10minutes, made lunch together 15 mins, read stories, lasted 10mins, let him jump on a mattress on floor, 10mins, played trains 10mins ad infinium, I think I went through almost everything in the things to do when there is nothing to do box, in between he was a holy terror, throwing things, being destructive or pulling at me, climbing on me etc. He had a big sleep in car on way home so wasn't tired, ate heaps during day so wasnt hungry...but the day just loomed in front of me and I must admit it took everything I have to stay calm and kind with him today sooooo...what the f do you do on days like this...I am beat! (It is 7.20pm here and have put him to bed 10min early as couldn't hang out any longer!!!

I'd probably try and go swimming as that can kill a few hours and is quite enjoyable once you're in the pool.
where are you? It's freezing here!!!

We are in NZ and swimming is a great option but we need one with a toddler pool as he is quite anti deep water which would have been a rather long drive into town... and as we had already been to lake wasn't keen for another trip...

Have just gone in for 3rd time for "I want my daddy...I want a drink...I hurt...I sad>>>"

ARGGH

I'm jealous, jealous, jealous. Mmmmm sun, warmth.

It's a boy thing when they are little they don't tend to sit still for long, that's more a girl thing. Just let him run round and pick up sticks and poke things.

I would be happy for him to do that but unfortunately he was in a seek and destroy mission mood today and couldn't leave me alone, climbing on me, jumping on me, hanging on my clothes you know those sort of days...but yes sun sun glorious sun, it was gorgeous in terms of weather.
