This isnt the most thrilling of subjects but when did your LO stop drooling all the time?????

The title says it all really:

I have a 7 month old who drools non stop. All his clothes get soaked through and it is making the skin on his chest come out in a little rash. We keep bibs on him but it only stems back the tide really. It's driving me nuts!!! Plus whenever I get a cool top for him you never see it because he always has a bib on.

When will it stop???

probably not what you want to here but DS who is 21 months still has drooly days occassionally, I'm hoping it's just cause he hasn't got all his teethe yet.

oh god thats not what I wanted to hear!! I just want an end to the tap that is continually running out of his mouth! I wouldnt mind the occassional dribble but this is loads!

'fraid not eenybeeny. My DS was 2 a couple of weeks back and has a proverbial waterfall all day. It's the last 4 teeth at the back that does it. I just grin and bear it!

ds is 21 months, still dribbles when teething, but otherwise has stopped. i think he was about 13 months when i stopped having to put a bib on him all the time to soak it up

I sewed nappy liners ONTO my dds t shirt for this very reason. Sudocrem is good on the rash that results round the neck from constant slobber BTW - but be positive you have a child and a labrador substitute all rolled into one.

my ds is 7 month and he too drools all the time too, we keep a bib on him all the time but if we are going out anywhere that we want him to look nice and not have a bib on we put a bib on under his t shirt (but over his vest iyswim) although his t shirt still gets wet at least he looks kind of ok! it also acts as a double barrier if you put a bib on over the top!

Ds was a puker form birth to 6 months so all is lovely outfits were covered with bib I was so excited when the puking stopped and soooooo disapointed when the drooling started, it's like being kissed by a red setter somedays

dd had this prob all the time her tops were wet through, her coat had to be changed everyday etc

i think she has only just stopped and on occasion she still does if she hasa cold and she's 16 months!!

DD2 dribbled constantly until about 8 months, and then only when teething. Still get the occasional dribbly kiss from her now (15 months) - mmm lovely.

My ds2 did this, seemed to go on for ages. He also had problems with his speech later and I wonder if there was a connection.

my DD2 (17mnths) is also like a tap at the moment - and i agree its the back teeth that are doing it - she has had 3 in the last 2 weeks!

Hoping it stops soon, have taken to being covered in drool as a fashion statement!
