How often should 4 week old have dirty nappies?

How often should a 4 week old have dirty nappies? My son was going every 1-2 days and it was like dough, and he had a couple of hard poos and was straining to go causing him a lot of discomfort and pain. Since changing him from Cow and Gate to Aptamil Comfort due to constipation and quite bad colic/wind, he has had about 5 dirty nappies and quite runny but not like watery or diarrhoea. Is this normal stools?

Newborn poos should be quite loose. I noticed the difference between C & G and Aptimal as well.

Is Aptimal Comfort thicker than the first milk they do?
