My brother is has ASD and we (parents and I) suspect my other brother has mild ASD too, but he has never been diagnosed. Both now adult age.

I have read that ASD can be hereditary. What are the chances my (unborn, I'm not pregnant) kids would have it? Are there strong links? Would be good to know people's experiences.

I was told there is an increased risk but nothing so significant that it would warrant not having a child if that's what you mean Both my son's are ok (I think, still v young) but it is slightly more likely.

My father had Tourette's Syndrome, I had Tic's (which is a form of Tourette's) and both my son's have them too, not sure about my daughter yet, as she's still too young. I think it depends how strong the gene is, I guess your at slightly higher risk, but it depends on whether the dominant gene is passed on.
