Over keen siblings

When do older siblings stop squashing their baby brother (in our case) with cuddles. My DD 28mths, is very loving towards 5month old DS. How will he ever learn to roll or sit if she keeps smothering him?

Also DD has stopped sleeping in the afternoons unless I walk her out in the buggy. This isnt always possible if DS has fallen to sleep already. Anyway she can cope for most of it but gets very tired by the end of the afternoon and goes hyper and very needy. Not sure what to do.

She is at nursery tomorow and friday so we should both get some peace and space!

When little brother starts stealing her toys and he's no longer merely a cute animated extra toy himself.

oh im still waiting. Im fed up of telling my DD(2.8) off for laying on her brother(6m) putting her hands over his face, knocking him over when hes sat up and giving cuddles that seem to be getting rougher and rougher.Oh and the best one taking toys off him because he told her he didnt want them!!

Im hoping it doesnt last long but then ive been waiting 6m already. I just cant wait until he is big enough to take toys off her

Beabea my dd is exactly the same she just won't leave him alone!! lol it was/is very cute but fgs ds must get really pissed off with it all i mean how many cuddles can one little person have in one day?? lol

And kbaby i know what you mean with the getting rougher and rougher comment!! dd was lying on top off ds the other day whilst he was trying too crawl!!

i really do feel sorry for him at times!!

Oh and btw they are 2.8 and 9 months he can and does take her toys but it really doesn't help!! lol

It will happen before you know it. Then you will have actual fights and tale telling and all sorts of other issues.
