my friend has a dd who got her teeth in a very odd order, say they are usually in the order

top 3 1 2 4
bottom 3 1 2 4

she got top 3&4, then top 1&2, then bottom 3&4, and finally at almost 2 she has bottom 1&2!
so no, gess they don't all get the bottom ones first

They usually come in a specific order (can't remember exactly what, but I think bottom middle 2 then top middle 2) but it isn't uncommon for them to differ. My DS's came in a very strange order but now has the 12 he 'should' have.

It can look like babies are teething for months before anything actually pops through. I know several babies who didn't get any teeth until after their 1st birthday.
