tips on 15 mo DS enjoying new baby's arrival

Hello, just returned home with newborn DD from hospital. DS is 15 months and generally good natured and sweet but I'm dreading the transition from the 3 of us to 4, especially whilst I recover from csection.

So far he's 'anointed' her with a pat on the head and tried to call her on his toy phone. Otherwise ignored her! We've given him a couple of little things from her as shameless bribing but he's a bit too young for obvious displays of jealousy etc.

Any thoughts on encouraging future harmony appreciated!

I have a 16 month gap. I don't think there was any jealousy as such, I think ds1 was too young to be jealous

I think ignoring sounds good at that age: far safer than being over-excited and plenty of time for a relationship to grow.
