My 9 month old will only eat smooth food. He used to eat food with bits in then stopped for some reason. So he's eating food for 7month old.

Are you feeding him from jars? Have you tried handing him a piece of banana or similar?

Hi!

Ooooh. VioletBam has got the right idea...are you spoon feeding him or are you using BLW? If you're spoon feeding, why not give him some soft foods that he can hold and eat by himself. He'll be taking small pieces in his mouth rather than purees and might start eating food with bits again??

Or you could try to add more bits very gradually so he gets used to them. Maybe start with thickened purees and then gradually add small amounts of mashed foods, till its lumps?

I'm guessing he's a heathy and happy baby otherwise - no tongue tie, sore throats or anything? Smile

Persevere! It will be harder if he keeps refusing to eat bits now. Good luck!
