Squabbling Toddler & 10mo

I have a DS who is 2yo10mo and a DD who is 10mo. My DS has always doted on DD but recently they seem to squabble constantly. It's exhausting and I don't know how to manage it. DD has been crawling for a month and basically she wants to play with whatever toddler is doing which causes him to have a meltdown but then when she finds her own thing to look at he goes and takes it from her which causes her to meltdown. If I remove one of them from the room the cry so I spend the whole time separating them or shouting at the toddler. Any tips on how to deal with this?!
