hello - ds is one year old and i know he is teething (one tooth left to go and showing in the gum). He just wont stop screaming. He's very tired but doesn't want to be held ..and certainly not laid down. DH has justtaken him for a walk but i can hear him yelling the street down. He's had calpol, nelsons teethas and dentinox gel. Please help.

Quite common for them to scream like this when they have earache.

Give out of hours doctor a ring.

thank you - he doesn't have a temperature though and not pulling at his ears...do you still think it might be tghat and not his teeth?

If it's an earache ,have you something warm you
can put over it,one of those microwave bags?
His ear will be worse when he lies down, try cuddling him sitting up.My ds was like this although he's 4 it was a nightmare.
Also a hairdryer sometimes relieves the pain,or try giving brufen aswell, you can give with calpol .

If he woke up in pain it's probably his ears.

you can give children's neurofen (or calprofen) at the same time as calpol if you are not getting relief. also, you can give them every 4 hrs if necessary. find an 24hrs asda or tesco if none at home.

these are also anti inflammatories so they are better for this kind of pain than calpol is.
