Night waking

DD (8 months) has started waking during the night, not wanting feeding, and settling fairly easily if DH or I go into her so not too much of a hassle; but I was just curious as to what could be causing it. She's waking up making grouchy noises, not crying but not her normal happy self - it almost sounds as though she's having a bad dream IYKWIM.

Last night it was only once, at about 2.30am. When I went in she was pulling at her mouth so I tried to put some Anbesol on her gums but she wouldn't let me (normally just the sight of the bottle when her mouth is hurting makes her smile) near her, so I just offered her her dummy, which she grabbed, and left her to it. As I said, not an issue really, just wondering. Teething, weaning, growth spurt......?

Any ideas/experience?

I think you (and ababies) wake every 45 minutes. Sometimes you roll over and immediatly go back to sleep, sometimes your awake for a minute or two. If she's not crying, it's more than likely just one of those things.

I don't think she's cold - she shouldn't be. She has a grow-bag, a sheet and two celular blankets folded double. Her room can be quite cold as it's over the garage so I may try adding yet another cot sheet on top of the cellular blankets tonight.

Thanks.
